We are in downtown Morristown a couple miles or short bike ride to Jockey Hollow National Park where George Washington spent two winters during the revolutionary war. Morristown’s train station is a 3/4 mile walk and has direct train service (60 min) to Manhattan. Great road biking and mountain biking trails nearby, and kayaking spots within 45 minutes drive. Suggested Local Attractions: Morris Museum, Washington’s Headquarters, lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance. We seem to be the closest site to NYC on the New Jersey side, so we get lots of requests. After the first year, we are limiting our availability to once or twice a month, to minimize impacts on the neighborhood.

Location
Access Road Conditions: The property is a half mile from the center of Morristown. It’s a breeze to back in our 19 footer, but probably a challenge for bigger rigs. The driveway is 10 feet wide with landscaping on both side and is at right angles to the road. All paved with curbs. No turnaround so backing in is a must. If our camper is here, you will park by it. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: They can park on the street or back campers into driveways and park behind campers

Generally handy at most house projects.

This spot was as described, and the host was very accomodating as we arrived later than we had planned. We heard some nightlife noise from people enjoying themselves coming and going from downtown - but nothing crazy. Makes for a great stop on the way through the area.

Stefan and Margarita are the perfect hosts and their lovely property is a 2 minute walk from the Patriot Trail. Downton area is an easy walk. Great introduction for our first Boondocking experience.

That’s what Stefan told us as we pulled in. Nice flat spot with a big backyard. Easy commute to NYC. Grateful for such a wonderful host!
