Small grassy area off to the side of driveway next to propane tank. More suited to camper van/small motorhome due to turning around restrictions. There is a 30 amp outlet on side of barn about 40 feet away. 22 miles off of I-55. 1.5 hours to St Louis, 2.5 from Memphis. Not much of a place but is a place to stay. You are camping about 50 yards from state highway and traffic noise can be a little annoying if you aren't use to it. Suggested Local Attractions:We are 25 miles west of Cape Girardeau MO. See the mighty Mississippi river and stroll the river walk, Cape is the childhood home of conservative Rush Limbaugh and has local league baseball in the summer. The Bollinger County historical mill/covered bridge site is 10 miles southeast. 50 miles to the west will get you to the beautiful Arcadia Valley area. The attraction everyone wants to see (Walmart) is 12 miles away. Local store with great BBQ and hand dipped ice cream is 1 mile away.

Pick up and take your trash with you. Please don't block the driveway. RV/quiet style generators during day only(have neighbors). No loud music or screaming please. Donations for any electric usage accepted but only if staying multiple days. Water to fill your tank can be arranged in the summer. My dog (Rufus) is friendly/ loves attention. While he is very friendly he is a large breed and probably would knock down little kids while playing so be careful. He is on a boundary collar which restricts him from where you are camping. If you have a pet please keep them on a leash and in the front yard.

Good communication from David. Bring some ear plugs if you stay, digs next door and close enough to the 55mph highway that you will most likely be hearing. Thanks David!

Met David and Rufus, spent the night. Some traffic noise from 2 lane highway about 100 ft away, but tappered off by 10pm and started back around 6 am. My van is well insulated so got good nights sleep. Small gravel road right across the highway where I took a walk for a mile, quiet little valley with some hill to work your calves.

David was very accommodating, great communication, beautiful sunsets, needed level blocks but there was spacious parking, and his furbaby Rufus was a bonus!

David was very helpful and accomodating. Route B was an absolutely beautiful drive. A little narrow in places so I do recommend doing it in the day.

This host is very friendly, helpful and generous with his time. Helped me with an electrical problem and gave me ideas about places in the area, an restaurants. I really enjoyed talking with host and he followed up when I needed help down the road. A very nice stay in a quiet place.
