This is a spot in our two car driveway. It has a bit of a slope. We’ve always been able to level our old pop up camper with the tongue jack and a cone. You can hook up to our water and if you have a decent extension cord you can hook up to our outdoor outlet by the front door. It’s a typical middle classed suburban neighborhood, nothing fancy, but if you just need a quiet place to rest for the night, it should do. AT&T cellular is maybe 1 bar, but Verizon/Visible work fine, and we hear T-Mobile works fine. Suggested Local Attractions:UNT and Texas Women’s University are nearby. Lake Lewisville has boating and swimming. Denton is at the 35 split north of Dallas and Fort Worth, so both are within an hour of us.

Location

Access Road Conditions: Anything 26’ or less should be able to park in our driveway and make any corners. We have pulled our old pop up through the neighborhood and parked it in the driveway many times. Note that there is a slope to the driveway that we’ve always been able to level with the tongue jack and tongue jack cone combo. The neighbors sometimes park at the end of our driveway across the street though, so you’ll need to feel comfortable backing into a spot and not hitting parked vehicles across the street. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: Tow vehicle would need to park on the street

We enjoy camping with friends and family Details: We are a family of 4 with two sweet, well behaved teens. Until recently both were homeschooled, but one is mostly doing dual credit remotely in college now and the other is in public high school working remotely during COVID. We enjoy camping with friends and family when we are not working. Home Town: Denton, Texas Skills or Expertise to Share: Richard knows IT and is handy with most things. He has a small shop in the garage where he’s often found building something.

The hosts were very kind and even provided an extension cord for plugging into their 15 Amp outlet. We parked on the street which was fairly level with a slight lean toward the curb. Whenever we’re back in Denton, we’ll be sure to stay again if we need to plug in for the night. Definitely appreciated being able to run our furnace overnight while working through our house battery issues
