Corbett Oregon is located between the Sandy River and Crown Point on the Columbia River Historic Highway. We are at the mouth of the beautiful Columbia River Gorge twenty miles east of Portland on the way to Hood River. It has mild weather throughout the whole year, and the winter months (Dec to Feb) can be windy and chilly. Suggested Local Attractions:There are about a dozen amazing water falls and the Columbia River Historic Highway. Some of them have hiking trails that are rated as among the best around the world.

We would expect the guests to put all their trashes into the trash-bags, and clean up the area before they leave.
Access Road Conditions: There is a 500 yards gravel road with slightly steep hills. There are no tight corners, and small to mid size rigs should not have difficulty navigating. The guests do not need to reverse down the driveway and there are sufficient room to turn around. There are no low-hanging trees, but some blackberry branches that taller rigs may want to avoid. Due to COVID 19 delays, we still haven't completed the project to have electricity to the barn from which the guests can connect with their RVs or trailers. Due to the long gravel driveway, we don't recommend long trailers and or large moto RVs. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: There are enough space for tow vehicle parking next to the rig by the pond and creek.

Author and consultant of naturopathic medicine Details: Steve is an independent researcher, author and consultant of natural medicine. Caren practices Yoga and Taichi, and takes care of the dog, two cats, and 12 chickens on the property. Son Arri is a senior high schooler and a cross-country runner. We enjoy travel, golf, gardening, and getting to know new folks from all over the country. Home Town: Corbett, OR Favorite Boondocking Locations: There are so many remarkable places that we haven't covered yet. We plan to visit Alaska, Midwest, and Northeastern regions and the sun-belt regions. Oregon has a long and rainy winter season. We would like to go to the south during the windy months in the Gorge. Any natural locations hosted by warm-hearted and open-minded guests. Skills or Expertise to Share: Steve has taught speech and hearing science, and alternative medicine at Portland State and a few other universities in the South. Steve and Caren practice Wu Dang Taichi, that they have learnt from Daoist Martial Artists in Wu Dang. They are also single- digit handicap golfers.

We requested a stay about a month early, then sent 4 follow up emails when the request still showed "pending". Received NO responses. There is no phone number to call. The GPS coordinates lead to a vacant lot in town.... Kind of left us in a bad situation.

Hopefully other guests have better response.

Double-Creeks Farm: I not only enjoyed a peaceful, quiet night, but also the lovely visit we had. Amazing how many places we’ve both visited. I loved meeting your family (and George), and wish you all the best in your future travels.

We had to cut short our stay due to weather. Nice people and great spot for exploring the waterfall hikes. Level area but really steep roads. Our heavy 21 foot promaster (without all terrain tires) slipped and struggled.

Our hosts we're so wonderful and inviting asks welcomed us with an invitation for dinner. The location was so quiet asks we slept very well. Just meet us in the morning and we were able to make a goodbye. If you have a tall profile, do take care for the trees and low hanging branches. Wonderful stay asked highly recommended! Will stay again if we're in the area in the future.
