    4:00 PM

For a same-day stay request we would appreciate the request before 1PM. We are located northwest of Milwaukee, Wisconsin in the rolling hills of the Kettle Moraine/Holy Hill area. Check in: After 4PM. Check out: 12PM. We can provide a quiet overnight stay on a 4 acre mini hobby farm (a work in progress) in the rural countryside. We are a short distance away from and easy access to Interstate 41. Your parking spot will be next to our pole barn (away from the turkeys and chickens) with W/E available. We'll get you settled in and leave you to your privacy. Fair warning; there are a couple of roosters on the property that like to wake the flocks up early on occasion. You'll also have opportunities to hear the tom turkeys gobble. We start doing chores around 8:30-9 AM. NOTE: It's best to pull into the driveway coming from the north (downhill) and make a left turn into the driveway. If coming from the south, the right turn into the driveway is short and it's a very deep ditch; easy for the wheels to get pulled into the ditch. Once that happens, a tow truck will be necessary to get the vehicle out. There are flags on each side of the driveway indicate the width. Area attractions: Basilica and National Shrine of Mary Help of Christians at Holy Hill https://www.holyhill.com Cabela's Outdoor Outfitters Store https://stores.cabelas.com/us/wi/richfield/1-cabela-way.html Slinger Speedway https://slingersuperspeedway.com Richfield Historical Park http://www.richfieldhistoricalsociety.org/about_the_park.html Ice Age National Scenic Trail https://dnr.wisconsin.gov/topic/parks/iceagetrail An RV dump station is about 5 miles away at the East Side TravelMart N168 W19490 Main St, Jackson, Wisconsin 53037. Open until 11PM There are also many parks, restaurants, and golf courses in the area. Please keep the volume level at a minimum when playing music. Well-behaved dogs and cats are welcome but must remain leashed and under control of an adult when outside your camper. Please clean up after your pets. Please do not enter livestock areas without the property owner's permission. No open campfires.

Location

The parking spot is on gravel next to the pole barn. You will need to back your rig into the parking space Electric is available from the barn. Water is around the corner. We can help with our hose to hook up to yours for needed length. There is plenty of space to manuever in and out. Toad vehicle parking is also available, but you will probably need to disconnect it before parking your rig.

We are a retired professional married couple looking forward to the adventures we couldn't have while working and raising three boys. We dabbled in RVing a few years back but now are getting serious in traveling more frequently. Downsizing from a motorhome, we pull a 2017 Gulfstream 19RBS Vintage Cruiser and are loving it. We tend to prefer the off-the-beaten-path travels rather than big city mahem.

Beautiful location, friendly hosts & great area to explore. Loved the trails atop their hill and all the chatty turkeys.

Marlene and Mike were easy to communicate with and very welcoming. We wouldn't have minded hearing any of the roosters, but it was nice and quiet.

Mike and Marlene were great hosts. Told us we could use their electric for free. Had a very quiet nights sleep. I would highly recommend.

We spent 2 very peaceful nights at the Double M Homestead. Mike and Marlene greeted us and helped set us up for our stay. We have a 30 ft 5th wheel that fit in the spot next to the barn. Mike offered us 30 amp electric hookup which we used. There is also a water hookup if you need it. They are great hosts and are another reason Boondockers is successful. Thank you Mike and Marlene for a wonderful stay. If we are ever in your area we will be back!!

Even though we showed up after dark and left before it was light we enjoyed our stay here. Our hosts were very nice and welcomed us upon arrival. It was very quiet and peaceful and easy to park our van over night. Wish we had more time to stay and chat more as they seemed like great people.
