Location

Access Road Conditions: This is a driveway in a subdivision. Paved and mostly level, but can be congested as street parking is the norm here. Since we are not experienced campers, you will need to be pretty good at parking your rig. Smaller Class B will fit. Might be able to accommodate up to 23 feet. If you have a tow vehicle, you will need to park a short distance away from your camper on the street.

Close to the Detroit river and not too far from downtown, they stay was a welcome respite. The host was friendly, accommodating, and quick with recommendations of thjngs to do around the area.

These two are absolutely amazing. They have gone above and beyond for me and I couldn’t thank them more for all they have done. From the conversations to just daily passing every interaction has been so pleasant. The location is close to literally everything (store, gas station, restaurants) the river is beautiful I watched a sunset and looked at the full moon it was complete peace. And their garden and backyard are show stopping. Definitely come and visit them they will make you feel right at home.

Great location for visiting Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village. Hosts are very inviting and kind. Parking has slight slope to street but bearable in Class B. Nice area to walk and water views down the main road. Thank you for your hospitality!

Loved our stay for the two nights. We came to Detroit to take in a concert and we’re happy to find a place that was calm and quiet to come home to Mike and Wanda were lovely people joined us On the waterfront for appetizers. Give us directions on the surrounding area and suggested we take in the Henry Ford Museum. We were amazed thoroughly. Enjoyed our stay and highly recommend staying there again.

We had asked to stay in a pinch, as we had a medical emergency for my friends dog that we had to tend to. They were fast to accept our stay and had offered to extend it, if needed. they were also awesome enough to offer water and power. Which also really helped, so we could come back to a nice and chilled camper as it was hot and muggy outside. In addition we swapped some cool RV stories and they showed us there back yard, which was a very nice backyard garden oasis ! *note - if you are staying here, the waste water treatment facility shown in the app is no longer open or easy access. other two locations is either a state park or gas station a bit more south (Sani Dump) or RV world but cannot confirm that locations as we decided to dump back in Canada
