We don't have a camper, but we've hosted many guests. We live in the country and have plenty of land. We are a homeschooling family with 3 kids and enjoy meeting new people to hear their stories. You can tap into our well water if a hose can reach. Cell phones don't get signal in our valley; you might pick up Lemke Guest on wifi. Star viewing can be quite good here, and fireflies give a good show in the summer months. Note the electric outlet is only 15 amp. Boondockers frequently trip the GFI or trip the breaker. DO NOT UNPLUG THE GRAY CORD IN THE ELECTRIC BOX. This runs our automatic chicken coop door. Let us know if you don't have electricity, since we need to reset the GFI or breaker so the coop door will close. All dogs must be leashed since we have chickens. Our driveway is a dead-end, so you need to turn around. Long rigs have turned around before, but it has challenged some drivers. Suggested Local Attractions: We are 10 minutes from the Root River Bike Trail (http://www.rootrivertrail.org/site/index.php) in either Houston or Rushford. The Creamery in Rushford has ice cream plus menu items. Houston has a nature center (http://www.houstonnaturecenter.com/) and nice Natural Playground. If you bike out of Lanesboro, watch for the Whalan pie shop. We are 20 minutes from Winona, MN and 30 minutes from La Crosse, WI. Both of these cities are on the Mississippi with likely bald eagle viewing. Try the Free Range Exchange in Hokah for breakfast or lunch items to-go. Locally sourced. We are 60 minutes from Mayo Clinic. Our house is located in a scenic bluff valley, and deer are common here.

Easy access, super quiet, beautiful area. We found a level spot to park and had a good night. WiFi was greatly appreciated to plan our ongoing trip.

We have all really loved our stay with this wonderful family. Our children loved hanging out and playing with their children. The adults enjoyed chatting too. The spot is beautiful and peaceful. The family are generous and kind. Thank you so much for having us and we so wished we could have stayed longer!!
