Ernies is a great host, we really enjoyed our stay we had an accident the night prior to checking in, and they were very helpful. The place was safe, and the hookups were excellent, specially during the winters since all the campgrounds in the area are closed for the season. This is also a very convenient location if you're planning to visit Salem we got to see some of the locations used in the Hocus Pocus movie.

We had a fantastic two nights at Ernie's Service Station! Ernie came and greeted us, showed us where to park, let us hook up to his 30amp service and gave us information about the area. He also has water hook-up and to top it all off, he has a dump "station". Felt very safe here, especially with Ernie right next door. We were able to explore Essex by foot and just down the road from the station is a beautiful historic farm with plenty of walking trails to enjoy. We would definitely come here again! Thanks Ernie!

Ernie’s is one of the best sites I’ve stayed at. He offered water /electric and dump for free! And, he was one of the kindest people I know. Being a single woman I felt very safe knowing he was always there. He also had brochures about everything in the area and he let me stay as long as I needed. I will definitely go back when I’m in the area again.

Ernie was a great host. Graciously shared his lot and amenities. Located close to Salem it was perfect for our trip into Haunted Happenings. Being able to get water and dump when most campgrounds have shut down in this area in mid October was a blessing. Also having the option for power made it extra comfortable. We visited the cemetery down the street dating back to the 1600’s so neat. Made a trip into Essex and even though Ernie wanted nothing for the stay we asked about a good place to eat in town and got him a gift card. Adding to the already great stays we’ve had with Boondockers Welcome, Ernies is a generous man and we are grateful. Would stay again and again.
