We are located on a farm 13 miles from Hastings or 2 miles from Ayr. We are also one mile from crystal Lake recreation area. You will need to back in for the electric hook up. It’s a grassy area. If we’ve just had a heavy rain 30 amp would not be available without a 75 ft cord. If it’s dry a regular camper cord works fine. A 20 amp is available in the garage if you’re parking in driveway. farm life near Hastings Ne. Details: My husband, David and I live on a farm near Ayr, NE. We are retired and also like camping in our fifth wheel. I like to spend free time quilting, and David likes to help our sons with the farming operation. We are also busy baby sitting grandchildren from time to time. Home Town: We live two and a half miles outside of Ayr, NE. Favorite Boondocking Locations: We loved Utah along the river and go to many state and national parks but have not stayed at a Boondocker location. We have hosted many folks at our farm. Skills or Expertise to Share: David worked many winters at his brothers cabinet shop on Hastings, NE. I have worked in many elderly people’s homes helping them out and with the school system or baby sitting mentally challenged children. I also worked five years cooking for a family in Hastings. We’ve raised five children.

Very Nice Hosts, very welcoming. Rambo the German Shepard was friendly. It is a beautiful property protected from the west wind by a thick windbreak of trees. We parked in the grass near the 30A power and quickly managed to get leveled out. Lots of space for our little motorhome and car. The hosts had several suggestions for activities in the area and enjoyed our stay. The highlight of the trip was the Back Alley Bakery. If you are in the area, this is a great choice for boondocking. Hints for guests, first read through the directions while in satellite view on maps, the address number is on the mailbox. Second, we chose to park on the grass for power access, but simpler options were available.

Stayed at this wonderful farm for four nights. Dave, Vickie, and Rambo were wonderful hosts. Very quiet even though it is not far from the highway, but we heard little if no noise while we were there. They have no huge yard light but rather very subdued lighting near the house, so we got to enjoy the moon and stars in a dark yard :) Our dog Teddy loved being able to roam and got along great with Rambo. Dave and Vickie were able to share several places to visit and explore while we were there. Every place we visited did not disappoint nor did our stay at Vickie and Daves Fantasy Farms. We will definitely make a return visit if things line up right on our next trip south.

We had a nice and comfortable visit to the house. We were greeted by the host's son and was helpful in getting us situated. We were able to have a power hookup which is always a treat. We only stayed for the nite but it was a peaceful nite. We appreciate being able to stay and would love to stay again. Thanks

We had a nice stay at Fantasy Farm. Lots of room to park, easy to find, friendly host and close enough to town for resupplies etc. Rambo, the ambassador dog, was very friendly and it was fun to have him visit us several times during our stay. Might not be the the best spot for a quick overnight close to an interstate but if your looking to chill off the beaten path, this is a great spot.
