Location is a 20 minute drive from Huntsville ON. We are at the Very end of a cottage road on a small peaceful lake. There is room for a Class C motorhome or travel trailer under 20’ in length - narrow private road. You can park in driveway beside house if requiring water or electric or space at end of driveway otherwise. Suggested Local Attractions:Huntsville is very much a touristy town with many local shops and restaurants. The Algonquin Theater is very busy over the summer time with a variety of venues. A local Farmer's Market during summer months on Thursdays. Muskoka Heritage Pioneer Village operates in the summer months as well as a steam train ride for kids. The Muskoka area is one of the Canada's top locations for viewing of fall colours. Algonquin Provincial Park is an hours drive away - well loved for its hiking, canoeing and viewing wildlife. Gravenhurst is a 30 minute drive from Huntsville, and home to the Steamships Segun and Wennona which tour the larger Muskoka Lakes. Also a beautiful Heritage Museum can be experienced and a wonderful farmer's market on Wednesdays. Bracebridge, a 20 minute drive from Huntsville is home to Santa's Village.

Retired and living the good life! Details: I am a retired teacher and my hubby is a retired firefighter and a recreational pilot. We live on a beautiful little lake in Muskoka Ontario. We love to travel and our little labradoodle accompanies us. We have recently switched from a Winnebago View to a Lance Travel Trailer. We have driven across Canada, toured Haida Gwaii and Gwaii Haanas, traveled to the Carolinas, driven the Blueridge Parkway, spent time in the Adirondacks and visited the Maritimes and Newfoundland. In 2018 we drove to New Mexico, visited the National Parks in Utah and California and drove Hwy 1 north along the Pacific Coast and then headed east visiting Yellowstone on our way home. We love meeting new people and exploring new and interesting places! Home Town: We live outside of Huntsville Ontario on a small lake. Huntsville is part of an area known as Muskoka, beautiful cottage country and land of lakes, forests and rock. It is an all season location, and a very popular tourist destination. Algonquin Provincial Park is about a 40 minute drive away, where you can often view moose, bears and other wildlife. The Group of Seven Painters are famous for their depictions off Muskoka - especially Tom Thomson. Skills or Expertise to Share: I love the outdoors, hiking and photography. My hubby is a recreational pilot, snowmobiler and handyman - and can fix just about anything. We enjoy kayaking in the summer and X-country skiing in the winter.

We had a fantastic overnight stay at Fox Den. Our hosts were kind and gracious and provided a safe spot for our first Boondockers Welcome stay.

My wife still talks about the stay as of course my cancer has us thinking about the fun we had . Still a Harvest Host member and we do get out . Fell behind on reviews as I have been fighting the fight. Thanks for the memories.
