We live approximately 7 miles (all hard surface) off I-80, exit 164, 30 miles East of Des Moines. We have a large backyard that can accommodate up to 3 units. Although can not provide electricity to all. Generators are ok with us but depends if there are other campers present. There is water available to fill you tanks. Quiet, surrounded by farm crops. This might be the place to kick back and relax for a couple of days or just for an over night stay. House Rules

No fire except in our fire ring. Firewood is usually available. Please arrive and set up during daylight hours. But stay up as late as you want...maybe we can visit around the campfire. Enjoy the sunrise, sunsets, quiet nights, stars and of course the fireflies.. It’s a given....Be respectful to us and other campers.

Iowa Country Living Details: Mike and I have been RVer off and on for many years. We had to sell our toyhauler and Harley Trike last year because of health problems. But, we still enjoying hosting and hearing about your boondocking/camping experiences. We did buy a Econoline with the thoughts of traveling, making short overnight stops alternating with hotel stops. Time will tell. Home Town: Newton Iowa Favorite Boondocking Locations: We have camped in several western states but have not boondock. We hope to start boondocking when we are more comfortable and/or we can hook up with some fellow boondockers. Our favorite state is Utah where we ride the trails with our S x S. Skills or Expertise to Share: Mike has a woodwork shop. And was a Mechanic. Might say he is a Jack of all trades...smile

We enjoyed our stay at this peaceful spot. Friendly, welcoming hosts and a beautiful spot to watch the sun set over the fields while the cows wandered nearby. A beautiful spot with entertaining and informative hosts.

Enjoyed spending time with both hosts. Trading travel stories and sharing recommendations for future experiences is always fun. Thanks again for allowing us to stay.

This was the BEST BW experience yet and I've had several great ones. It was a fantastic location for me as I attended the Iowa State Fair in Des Moines with family. The hosts were super helpful and I so enjoyed our visit under the shade of their tree one morning. đź’–

This was our first Boonedockers Welcome stay. Our hosts were a joy to talk to. We will most definitely go back to stay with them again. Beautiful back yard and wonderful hosts!

Iowa = Good people. I mean THE BEST! A great stop along our journey. “We don’t meet people by accident. They are meant to cross our paths for a reason.” Thank you again for a safe, comfortable place to stay on our journey.
