This is our driveway next to our office / home in the historic district. The area is emerging so homes are being restored but there are still some that are "interesting" people that may walk by. They come from several blocks away but I always like to disclose this. We have nice neighbors and a fenced back yard. We are just a few blocks (easy walk) to the RiverWalk on the Chattahoochee River, Broadway with lots of restaurants, and the Springer Opera Theatre and River Center. Sometimes we are home and sometimes we are on the road, but either way, guests are always welcome. We are also a bike ride or quick drive to many of the public attractions at Fort Benning as well as the Civil War Museum. Suggested Local Attractions:Infantry Museum at Fort Benning, River Walk, Columbus Convention and Trade Center, Columbus Museum- all are in walking or bike ride distance. Callaway Gardens and Great Wolf Lodge are 35 minutes north. Freeze Frame Yogurt is our favorite treat place and is in walking distance. The Loft, 11th and Bay, and The Black Cow are our favorite restaurants in uptown. All in walking distance.

Access Road Conditions: No pull through. There is a double wide driveway that is easy to back in. There is one low hanging wire that you have to watch for when backing in. No one has ever hit it but it is always good to watch out for it. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: If we are home, then on the street. If we are traveling then there is space in front of your rig.

I live to meet new people! Details: My husband and I travel most of the year in our 2006 Holiday Rambler Imperial. We both still work in technology but from the road. We have 4 grown children, 4 grandkids in WA and 4 grandkids in GA. We maintain an office / home in Uptown Columbus GA in a house that was built in 1890 that we are restoring. We are just a few blocks from the longest whitewater rafting route in the world in an urban environment! Our faithful traveling companion is Morgan, a 5 year old Shih Tzu. Home Town: We hang out in Columbus, GA in Uptown when we are not traveling. We lived in a loft in this area after downsizing the first time and love it. Secondarily, we hang out in the Hood Canal area of WA. In both cases it is the grandkids that draw us there and keep us there. Favorite Boondocking Locations: Rallies or events where there are lots of people! It's the people not the location!

What a great spot. it is just minutes from the new National Infantry Museum. Sandy was not home but, they still allowed me to stay. I should have stayed another day to visit more of the historic district of Columbus, GA.

Can't say enough good stuff about this Host. Communication was great and such a friendly voice. We unfortunately did not get to meet Susan but she made us feel right at home even though she was not at home. There are so much to see within walking distance. Loved our stay.

Uptown in cbus was just what we needed. Sandy welcomed us and told us to think of the pace as home away from home, and she ment it. Water and electric available. Use of lovely front porch. I loved it.

We enjoyed our short stay at Thai location. The host was kind enough to allow us to stay in their absence. We’re able to go for nice walks in area and an extended bike ride along river. Beautiful heritage homes surround the historic district steps away.
