We don't have a babbling brook, a river front view, an ocean side site or a panoramic view from atop a tall mountain. What we might be lacking in amenties we certainly try to make up for with a plate piled high with Southern Hospitality. Expect warm smiles and a friendly wave when you arrive. And, we will do everything possible to make you feel like you are home. Conveniently located on three acres near Interstate 16 in Central Georgia. We are located halfway between Atlanta and Savannah. Parking area in rear of our house. -- no pull through but there is plenty of room to back up. Water. 30/50 amp available. If we have three guests, power may be limited to 30 amps. With heavy rains we may have puddles, but the soil is sandy and will drain usually overnight. IF it has been raining for several days we may have to cancel reservations for heavy rigs, or not accept requests for heavy rigs. Fire pit and charcoal grill available. Your campsite is approximately 100 yards off Georgia Hwy 112. During the day there is a fair amount of truck traffic on this road. It normally gets very quiet at night.  Only one BW guest has ever commented on the traffic noise. There is an active railroad track about 4/10 mile away.  The train comes once or twice a day. Suggested Local Attractions: This is country! Macon is 35 miles away, Dublin is 20 miles. There is a Dollar General store in town. Dublin has St. Patrick's Festival in March; Macon was home to the Allman Brothers, Otis Redding, Little Richard and a host of other famous singers. Capricorn Recording Studio is located in Macon as well. There are several museums and other sights to see, Macon has their Cherry Blossom Festival in March Be sure to visit the Ocmulgee National Monument (Indian Mounds) in Macon. See maconga.org for other nearby attractions. Also highly recommend The Air Force museum. See: https://www.museumofaviation.org/exhibits/aircraft-exhibit-gallery/ 26 miles from our place.

Age:

65+

Retired couple who love to travel. Details: Retired in 2014 and enjoy extended travels in our camper. The best part of RV travel is seeing the sights, enjoying the regional food, and especially meeting the locals. -- When we are wintering in Georgia we enjoy Boondockers Welcome hosting. If you can't be on the road the next best thing is having Boondockers Welcome guest. After four years in the Air Force, I spent 25 years in the high tech industry. First as a Field Service Engineer moving my way up to a service manager, then into sales and when I retired at 48 from this industry I was working as an international marketing manager. At 50 I went back to college and got a BSN and worked as an RN for four years before I decided that I was too old to be doing this. That was my last job. My life long wife/business partner/navigator/trip planner/co-captain retired as a Registered Nurse. She started out her career as a NICU nurse and later moved into the non-clinical aspects of nursing. We love nothing more than being on the road, and when we can't be on the road we enjoy hosting campers at our place. Since 2014 we have been traveling about six months out of the year. Home Town: Allentown, GA (middle Georgia) Skills or Expertise to Share: Electrical and some wood working.

Ken and Ann are wonderful super hosts with a wealth of knowledge and information. A beautiful property in a quiet setting made for great sleeps. The attention to RVers needs was second to none. We highly recommend Ken and Ann’s property and would definitely stay again and hopefully for a longer time.

We stopped by Ken & Anne places on our way to Savannah. The directions provided by Ken was clear and we found their place easily. We were received with a warm welcome. They provide a container with DVDs and a container with informations of what we can do in Georgia. I highly recommand this place. Wish I can stay again !
