Quiet residential street with no through traffic. Wide driveway. No streetlights. I have a native plant garden with garden paths for you to enjoy. Small private side yard for your use. Please note I can only accommodate van type rigs. Tried trailers and they just don't fit. No street parking. Suggested Local Attractions:Located near the base of Mt Diablo State Park (South Gate Rd/Mt Diablo Scenic Blvd side). Excellent road and MTBing from here. Hiking nearby, can either walk to or drive (less than 2 miles to several trails). Charming downtown with many fine restaurants, coffee shops and wine tasting rooms. 30 minutes to Berkeley and about 45 minutes to San Francisco. Livermore wine tasting region also nearby. Local Train Depot Museum in town and Visitor Center Museum at the summit of Mt. Diablo.

Ruth Ann and her husband were the sweetest! The neighborhood was quiet and I felt super safe. I loved getting to chat with the family and we both gave tours of our van which was so fun. Would definitely recommend this place and hope I can come back soon! Thank you for an amazing stay!

Since I have a small van I was able to stay in the driveway at Gators Garden and enjoy a night of complete silence so close to key Bay Area attractions. I visited with Ruth Ann in her lovely backyard and wished I had more than one night to meet these interesting hosts and explore the area around Mt Diablo. This was the perfect last night on the road during after an almost 3 month journey across the country. Thank you for sharing your garden and driveway with us!

Wonderful hosts, excellent directions, easy parking - could not have asked for a better stay. As mentioned in the profile, this spot is best for smaller vehicles (it was easy to park our 20ft van but a larger vehicle might have some trouble.) The hosts had great recommendations for the area and were a wonderful resource! Absolutely recommend staying with these wondeful people.
