Our site is at the top of a pass and has complete privacy from the main road. The views are breathtaking. Shops are about four miles away but getting there with a cumbersome vehicle is a hassle. We share our road with two neighbors and there is a small amount of local traffic. Basically guests would use the gravel parking area in front of my barn and hook up to utility power with an extension cord. I have plenty of rainwater to share but it is not potable. HEIGHT RESTRICTION: no vehicles above 11 feet 6 inches tall. Suggested Local Attractions: Asheville and the Biltmore Estate is 30 minutes away. The Great Smokey Mountains National Park is about an hour’s drive away.

House Rules
We are fairly laid back about rules but insist on leaving things the way you found them. Because we have dogs and they run free, our place is NOT for people who are afraid of dogs or do not have control of their pets. Our dogs are well trained and well behaved, but this is their home.
Location
Access Road Conditions: We are at the top of a pass and access roads are steep with tight turns. My driveway is long, narrow and has a gravel surface. Backing down it would be “interesting”. I would discourage very tall rigs and am basing my description on my own truck and camper set-up. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: The tow vehicle should be the size of a 1 ton pick-up or less. Parking is next to the trailer. Both vehicles would be in front of my barn and pull out radius is tight. There are low hanging limbs over the road so Class A RVs cannot be accommodated. Sorry.

This spot is on top of a mountain with lovely views. Parking access is easy although the road to get there is steep with quite a few hairpin turns.

We sandwiched two nights here for a trip to Biltmore Estate. It's a beautiful, quiet place on a mountain ridge. Louis is interesting to talk with and is kind to share his place with the boondocking community.

What a lovely spot! Host was incredibly easy to communicate with and approved my stay instantly. He gave me directions and met me by the gate to direct me to my parking spot. It was flat, quiet, and I felt safe enough to sleep with doors unlocked. The view was lovely. At night , I watched the sunset over the mountains. In the morning, I was above the clouds. It is peaceful and scenic. Hope to return!

Great place for smaller RVs. The road is steep and sharp curves but it's beautiful at the top. Great communication he met me at the end of the private road and I followed him up. it was 68°F so I was able to sleep with the windows wide open. listened to the pond of frogs croak. my RV is 11'2"High and I did hit a few lower hanging branches along the way. that's why access is only a 4/5.

Getting up the hill to this location is somewhat challenging but when you arrive you’ll have have a level, gravel parking spot under an overhang. There is pond full of bull frogs who will serenade you. I spoke with host 2 times afrer arriving. Once to be guided up to the parking spot and on the second day to check in with and chat with the host. The sunsets were spectacular and the site was secluded. I had a wonderful stay.
