Newly retired couple taking time to see the sights Details: Michigan couple who live in a rural area. We have 3 children and 11 grandchildren. Home Town: Manton, Michigan home of the Manton Rangers. A small town that is about 100 miles from Mackinaw Bridge and 100 miles from Grand Rapids. Favorite Boondocking Locations: New to camping. We do love the Choteau Montana area and have visited the 7 Lazy P several times. We have also visited and traveled in Alaska several times. Skills or Expertise to Share: Retired utility and High School secretary. Jim has done electric line work and gas service work for the utility. Everything from changing transformers to fixing furnaces and water heaters. Melanie was the High School Secretary at Manton Schools for 27 years. She also plays the piano at our church when we are not traveling.
