This host location is located next to Council Grove City Lake. The actual parking is about 50 yards from lake access. I have a nice patio area next to the lake and a small beach area. Local requirements do have a quiet time that begins at 11:00 p.m. Suggested Local Attractions:Located in the Flint Hills of Kansas (ummm not flat land that you see from I70). Council Grove is a small town with many historical sights. I’m about 20 miles from Tallgrass Praire. Boutique shopping in Council Grove.

At this time- since I am a new host I can not think of any rules. This might be updated if needed in the future. My preference would probably be for smokers to do so in their camper - or in my driveway.

Host very kind and pleasant. came out of house to welcome us and direct us where to park. quiet place to stay. near many historical sites in council Grove including the national tall Grass prairie preserve. beautiful country to visit.

Jan gave us some wonderful ideas of activities for our visit to beautiful Council Grove. We took a long hike at Tallgrass Prairie and saw buffalo and walked around the downtown area. The community is full of hometown pride! Jan helped us with a snafu on our part of parking in the wrong spot and was most gracious. We enjoyed our stay in her little slice of heaven!

This was our first boondockers welcome experience and it was perfect. The host was very welcoming and super friendly. The surroundings were beautiful and near to a cute historical city. Would stay again!
