Adventure loving family of nine Details: Steve grew up on a dairy farm in Canada with 5 brothers and a sister. Virginia came from an acreage and a big family in Michigan. We love people and new experiences. We enjoy exploring all the little corners of the world and helping others enjoy ours! We are honest, down to earth, and try to appreciate the little things in life while flying at a fast pace :) Home Town: Fort St. John, British Columbia is our hometown. It’s on the Alaska Hwy. We love the people of this town but on top of that there are great rivers, beautiful trails, wild country, and some great restaurants. Skills or Expertise to Share: Steve is a farm boy and is super mechanical, great problem solver, tells some good stories, and is an overall McGuiver. Virginia loves to cook and bake and garden. We are hard workers and have lots of hands on experience :)

The two hosts are very welcoming. Interesting to see their craft. I look forward to the hat and will wear it with pride.

Had the good fortune to have two stays with this wonderful couple & their family. Access is via a short paved country road just off the Alaska highway. BW have access to three different spots this couple have built into their property overlooking the large swimming ponds. Family rekindled my interest in aviation as the oldest son practiced flying circuits off their landing strip on the back of the property. (Another plane in my future?) Anyone travelling the Alaska highway should make a point of visiting H. Lake and seeing what a property built with love of family can be!

I could never say enough about this spectacular property. From the ponds and beaches to the walks and the magnificent garden, we felt so welcomed and comfortable. It was so nice to hear the kids playing and swimming and having so much fun! The property is beautiful with personal touches everywhere you look! There is something for everyone.
