We are located in small southern NH town (population around 8,000) about 15 minutes drive from I-93 and I-495. Centrally located within an hour of Boston, 45 minutes to the NH & Maine seacoast, 60 minutes to the NH Lakes Region and 90 minutes to the NH White Mountains and VT Green Mountains. Commuter rail service to Boston is available about 15 minutes from us in Haverhill MA. Lots of nature and history in the immediate vicinity that we can provide tips on. We live on a wooded and hilly 10-acre parcel that has a pretty little stream running through it and only one visible neighbor when the leaves are on. One caveat: our neighborhood area is very quiet 99% of the time, however, we unfortunately have a close neighbor next door that occasionally has social gatherings that can be on the loud side (music and conversation) and can go until after midnight. We've stayed with wonderful BW hosts across the country and are eager to be good hosts to others. We can offer hookup to either a 20 amp or a 30 amp circuit, both outlets located at the outside corner of our garage. We are on a private well and can provide a limited amount of water (20-30 gallons) to supplement your tank, (it may taste a bit hard or metallic). Please note that we are NOT set up to be a City Water connection. We are Covid vaccinated and try to be careful and respectful of others. We do ask that you let us know WHEN you submit your request if you've decided not to be vaccinated so that we can keep our distance. Please note: We love well behaved dogs and have two of our own. Your dog is very welcome, however it MUST BE LEASHED AT ALL TIMES and be cleaned up after when it goes. We also love well behaved kids and have two of our own (now adults). For safety purposes, kids must be closely supervised by their parents at all times as our yard has many hazards, is not child proofed and is not a playground to let off steam after a long drive. There are numerous playgrounds in the general area that we can direct you to. These, as well as all of our other house rules, are not optional. Suggested Local Attractions:We're in a good location for those traveling to visit the greater Boston area as well as those on their way to and from northern New England via I-93 (New Hampshire), I-95 (Maine) and I-89 (Vermont). There is an abundance of small parks and historical areas in the area including National and State Parks.

House Rules
Sorry, no travel trailers longer than 21' or fifth wheels longer than 26’ - Unfortunately, there is limited space to turn around at the top of the driveway and after accepting several larger rigs, we've found that it just isn't a good idea no matter how skilled the driver is. We generally prefer later afternoon (4-6 pm) arrivals and morning departures (by noon). Please let us know your approximate ETA and departure plans at least a day in advance and give an update on the day of arrival as we like to be here when folks arrive and leave to help with positioning. We prefer folks to arrive for the first night before dark and to be settled in each night by 9 pm. We ask that you police your food, trash and cigarette butts. LIMITED space is available in our trash and recycling bins for bagged trash (ONE BAG MAX) and clean recyclables. Dogs are welcome, provided they are LEASHED AT ALL TIMES and aren't prolific barkers. Please pick up after your animals no matter where they go ("going in the woods and not picking it up is not acceptable") . SAFETY: The safety of our human and pet guests is of paramount importance and we want everyone to have a pleasant stay here. Kids are the responsibility of their parent(s)/guardian(s) at ALL times, and NOT for us to supervise! Our property is not a campground or a playground and it is NOT childproofed. Children must not wander from the immediate area of the RV and have close parental supervision at all times. There are lots of animal, plant and terrain hazards (steep cliffs) that are close by and we don’t want anyone wandering or running around getting hurt. By requesting a stay with us, Guests assume all liability for their party, pets, equipment and vehicles while enroute to and from and while on our property. We can provide either a 20 amp or 30 amp electric hook up and ask that you limit generator usage and never between 9 pm and 7 am. Those hours are considered Quiet Hours. We're happy to help with just about anything, but also happy to just leave you be as well. Our House Rules are what we equate to being a good guest and showing common courtesy. PLEASE LEAVE A HOST REVIEW AFTER YOUR STAY, IT'S OUR REWARD FOR HOSTING.
Location
Access Road Conditions: We are in the cul de sac of a paved road neighborhood and access is via paved driveway. House and adjacent parking spot is located in a level area accessed by a relatively steep uphill, paved driveway. Biggest challenge is likely to be a tight corner at the bottom of the driveway after which it's a straight shot up the driveway. Overhanging branches are trimmed at minimum to accomodate my 13' 2" rig. Truck campers, Class B and smaller Class A and C will likely be able to turn around at top of driveway, but longer Class A and C will likely be too long and may need to back up driveway (decent level of driver proficiency needed). Sorry, no travel trailers longer than 21' or fifth wheels longer than 26’ - there is limited space to turn around at the top of the drive way. Limited use of lawn in certain areas to turn around is acceptable provided damage is minimized, but lawn adjacent to garage is off limits (septic leach field). Tow Vehicle Parking Details: Tow vehicle can park in driveway adjacent to RV in turnaround or in cul de sac

Married couple, retired geologist & semi-retired cybersecurity engineer Details: We are an early 60's age semi-retired couple with a large truck camper rig, looking to explore the US and Canada. With 3 solar panels, 3 deep marine batteries and two on-board propane tanks, electric hookups are not a requirement, but certainly are nice to have when available. We will have stayed at about 30 different Boondockers Welcome Host sites in 15 different states by the end of this travel season and will have hosted 20 members at our Host location in our first year of hosting. We are generally quiet, courteous folk who tend to shy away from parties and night-life. No judgements one way or the other, but both of us are fully Covid vaccinated and boosted, including the new bivalent booster in early October 2022. Home Town: Southern New Hampshire Favorite Boondocking Locations: Being relative newbies, we are wide open to possibilities. Skills or Expertise to Share: Ken is relatively handy with tools as related to construction and home repair. His expertise when working was environmental hydrogeology. Claudia is quite handy with most things computer related and works for a major bio-tech as a cybersecurity specialist.

We never would have met these wonderful people if not for BW! Hard working folks, we truly appreciated that they stopped what they were doing to engage. Our conversations were so interesting that the hours just flew! You will also find they are flexible and accommodating, so if you need your space you'll get it. Only :15 to the train station to Boston and close to everything including bike paths and even some lakes if paddling is your thing. They even have a couple of pups if you are traveling without and need a fix their pups can fill that void. These Hosts are among the BEST that you will ever find!! Thanks again, C and K!!

We were welcomed with open arms at the Hampstead Hideaway, communication was great and we got settled in very easily. Although we come from different backgrounds we had so much in common and enjoyed sharing life experiences, and knowledge about so many things... the conversations could still be going on!! The hosts were also informative about their travel experiences and we learned so much. The property is beautiful, and the host were very generous and provided electrical hook up for our stay. We enjoyed the company of Rosie and Kelly their beautiful pups! Thanks again Ken & Claudia for the best time on our first Boondockers stay. We hope to one day, be able to repay your kindness at Camp Walla Walla!

Thanks Ken and Claudia, for being such wonderful hosts and very accommodating. While I was at your home it was quite and relaxing. Your recommendations were great and your box full of information was appreciated. My Verizon phone service had a good signal so I was able to do some communicating with friends. Thanks again for the green beans they have been tasty. Also I enjoyed our conversations. When I am in the area again we will have to catch . Warm regards
