Less than a mile from a public access point on Lake of the Woods, Minnesota, enjoy a stay in your own private campground. This 2.5 acres of raw land is close to town while being tucked into a quiet country neighborhood. We are just a few miles from the city dump station, so if you have to empty your black tank or refill your fresh water storage, you won't have to go far. As raw land, there are no amenities: no wifi, electricity, water, or sewage dump. There is a fire pit and a deck to park your rig or set your tent up next to. While we are planning on extending our driveway, bringing in electricity, and drilling a well, those just haven't happened yet. My husband and I live out of our own RV full-time, and bought the land in the spring of 2019 to eventually homestead on. We live on it March-September. Suggested Local Attractions:Enjoy fishing on beautiful Lake of the Woods! Come on a guided walk of the twenty five acres of woods that our land connects to. Our mayor owns a classic car museum called The Shed, and we rented one as our getaway car for our wedding in 2015! Doc's Harbor has kayaks and tandem bike rentals, and for the summer only, Bec's drive-in restaurant is open.

I am a wife, mom, writer, and homesteader living out of a 24 ft camper trailer. Details: My husband, Seth, and I have been living out of a camper with our dog for almost three years now. We have a one and a half year old daughter, and travel full-time as domestic missionaries. We help churches and ministries share the Gospel through outreach events. Home Town: We are converting two and a half acres of raw land in Northern Minnesota into a homestead. We bought the land in May 2019, and have put in a culvert and access point, built a shed (we do not recommend metal shed kits), put in a mailbox, a deck, and a firepit. Favorite Boondocking Locations: Our own land. We have no water, sewage, electricity, or anything really. But it is 100% ours and there is just something about that. We'd love to have you over sometime too. Maybe we'll have the driveway finished and the garden put in by then. Skills or Expertise to Share: Seth can juggle and do close up magic tricks, Axel likes to snuggle, Nettie is a crazy toddler who does all of her own stunts, and I write poetry.
