Please read our site conditions carefully to determine if we can accommodate your rig. Level driveway that can accommodate Class B, Class C and truck campers up to about 30'. We cannot accommodate travel trailers plus tow vehicle or any rigs longer than 30' in total. Please do not transport any firewood into our area; we do not want to introduce new pests to our forests. Well-behaved pets are welcome. Nearest town, Callander, 8 km. Major shopping, North Bay, 15 km. We live close to but not on Lake Nipissing on 26 acres of prime mixed forest with walking trails. There is an abundance of wildlife, including many species of birds. The peace and quiet can be deafening for someone who is not used to it and cathartic for someone who is. Please note: You will be parking where you see the silver Camry parked in our photo. We appreciate self-sufficiency. Water usage is at your own risk as it is not tested. If you hook up to our water, there is no donation expected. Electric hook-up is not offered. Another note: If we can't accommodate you, North Bay Walmart is a popular spot. Suggested Local Attractions: Callander Bay Museum, Callander Public Library (has free computer access), Lake Nipissing accesses for boat launching and canoeing, safe sandy beach, splash pad for kids, Callander Municipal dock, fishing, Cranberry Trail hiking trail, Osprey Links golf course, Callander Legion Branch 445 for dine-ins and entertainment, compact business section that includes Foodland and several restaurants.

Location
Access Road Conditions: Well maintained paved road off provincial highway. Low-hanging trees over driveway - we try to keep them pruned but they keep growing! Entrance to driveway is on top of a blind hill so caution advised in turning into driveway. We do not have experience with large rigs, only Class B and small C. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: We can accommodate a Class B or Class C RV of up to 25' in length. Or a travel trailer of up to 20' in length with total length of travel trailer and towing vehicle not exceeding 30'. Towing vehicle can park beside travel trailer or stay hitched if the trailer is short and doesn't impede other traffic flow.

Retired country dwellers, parents of 3, grandparents of 5 - none of whom live nearby. Details: We enjoy nature and live on 26 acres of woods with our own trails. We are active in our community. We enjoy hiking, square dancing, bridge, euchre and learning. Non-smokers. Home Town: We live in the community of Callander which has a population of about 4000, pretty evenly split between rural and urban. We are fortunate to live in the rural part. Callander, located on the shores of Lake Nipissing, is sort of a bedroom community for North Bay, just north of Callander. Favorite Boondocking Locations: Newfoundland Skills or Expertise to Share: Nature, woodworking, handyman and handywoman.

Peaceful and quiet for overnight. Hosts were so pleasant and welcoming; really enjoyed chatting with them. Flat gravel parking area. Not suitable for big rigs, as stated in host description. Trails available for walking, but deer flies in forested area bothered our dog, so we stuck to walking on the road. Would definitely stay again if in this area.
