Boondocking available on our EXTRA long driveway. Max 25 feet. Update- we can no longer take tall 5th wheels due to cable lines getting snagged at the entrance to our drive. Smaller rigs can pull-thru. We prefer you do not use your loud generator due to neighbors close by. You can use our electricity/ water at $10 per night or use your quiet generator. Your friendly pet is welcome. Suggested Local Attractions:Modesto is famous for being the birthplace of rockabilly music. You can find great food and live music to enjoy any night of the week downtown. Bicycle friendly area. One hour to San Francisco Bay Area attractions. One hour to Yosemite and gold country mountain towns/wineries. 5 minutes from Highway 99. 20 minutes from Highway 5. Perfect stopover point on your way to/from San Diego, LA, SF, Oregon, Sierra Nevada, Burning Man or if you are making for either U.S. border running from the law. We can provide you with a list of fun things to do while you enjoy Modesto.

Nannette and her husband are awesome! They have a great backyard with plenty if room to set up and hang out. The fenced in area was great for our pups to roam around. Upon arrival we enjoyed chatting by the fire with these great hosts! Hawk (Mike) even helped fix our bikes and was great to chat with! Lots of recs were given and were much appreciated!

I loved my stay! Wonderful couple. The long driveway with double gates allowed me to feel safe and let my dog roam around. The hosts are a wonderful couple. Hope to be back someday!

This was a great location for while we were visiting with friends in the area. The hosts were very accommodating and helped with the back in process. We would definitely stay here again.

We were warmly greeted at the gate by Nanette. The back in was easy and we spent a very restful night. A nice neighborhood and good for walking. Nanette and Mike were gracious hosts. We would definitely stay again.

Spent a quiet evening here last night, traveling from Washington State to Arizona, and couldn’t be happier. Had a nice conversation with the gracious host about music and travel. Parked my little van next to their schoolie, plugged into the electricity ($10), and drifted off to dreamland. I can enthusiastically recommend Hawk and Nannette's as a restful respite for weary travelers, and hope to return myself some time. Thanks for the hospitality!
