Outgoing person interested in all sorts of things including meeting new friends. Details: Semi retired professional who loves to travel. Home Town: Born and raised in Spirit Lake, IA, educated in MN and last half of my life living in a floating home in Portland, OR. While you likely will see my "land yacht", I do have a real yacht moored in front of my floating home, a 34' flybridge sedan with 2 staterooms, kitchen, bath (separate shower - hallelujah!) and salon area. At a mile a gallon, it's better to cover distances in my land yacht, hope to see you soon! Favorite Boondocking Locations: Oregon coast and urban Seattle are the only destinations so far. Look forward to adding more to my list of memories.

Outstanding host and great location! Ron was friendly and very kind and helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the floating house community and parking in the lot at night was quiet and safe. Good communication with the host. Hope to stay again!

I booked this place 3 days ahead. I arrived 30 minutes before announced time, to realize the host was supposed to send me a code to enter the gate. Didn’t send his name nor his phone number either. Had to sent him a message through HH and waited 45 minutes with no reply before deciding to find another place to sleep. 2 hrs later, got a text message saying he was home, sending me the missing infos. It was too late for me. I’m sure the place would have been nice so if you decide to go there, make sure you have the code, the host’s name and cell #.

Ron was a very welcoming host. Watching the sun set over the Columbia while conversing with Ron on his floating deck was a great pleasure. You should meet this unique, kind and brave man. I hope to return to visit in the future.
