Boondockers may stay here for free, and camp where ever you'd like on our property. We only have one 30 amp hookup available, but we also offer two 20 amp hookups. Power (20 amp and 30 amp) and water is available for $15 per night ($5 per night water only). Payment due upon arrival either cash or via Venmo (@Dave-Hale-23). WIFI is available up near our house (please ask for password). This is a Longleaf Pine sanctuary and a hobby farm. We also host an AirBnB, so other guests may be here as well. We prefer to host up to two campers at a time plus a few boondockers, but if you are traveling as a small group, we will be happy to accommodate all of you if we can. Suggested local attraction: Blakeley State Historic Park is four miles away.

We prefer to communicate via the Harvest Hosts App. You are welcome to call us, but please leave a message as we will not answer a call coming from an unknown phone number. If boondocking, generator use is fine. We have a hot tub available for a small donation. Smoking is fine anywhere, but please pick up your butts.
Location
Access Road Conditions: Paved driveway with initial hill. We recommend that you approach our driveway from the west (via AL Hwy 225), especially if you have a large rig. Large paved turn around up at the house. We use it to turn around our 29’ rig pulled by a Chevy Silverado. No low hanging trees. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: Next to the rig.

Self employed, nearing retirement, we enjoy camping and exploring our country. Details: I enjoy camping with my wife, Judy, and two small elderly Dachshunds. Home Town: Near Spanish Fort, Alabama, but in the 36507 zip code (Bay Minette, Alabama). Favorite Boondocking Locations: We are new to Boondocking as campers although we have been hosting (Heart of the Country) for more than a year. Skills or Expertise to Share: Amateur astrophotography. I know stuff about the cosmos, and I sometimes travel with my telescope.

My only regret about this stay is that we did not arrive in time to really explore this beautiful property. Dave and Judy were such wonderful hosts. When we arrived, Dave was there to greet us. He made sure we were safely in our spot for the night and provided some literature on the area and a map of the property. Their dogs, Homer and Bart, are super sweet and very well-mannered - I’m always happy when I have some pups to love on! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful property with us!
