We are located on a 50 acre farm in Marion County Florida, halfway between Ocala and Gainesville. We have horses, miniature donkeys, our pet dachshunds and chickens (free range eggs for sale ! ). In the spring of 2023 we will have our first "blueberry u-pick" on our farm. There are several wineries and breweries within 1 hour of our location. Also many other attractions within an hour of us. Depending on the size of rig, electrical hookup could be possible.

We are a semi retired couple from Alaska, spending the winters at our 50 acre farm in Florida. We have 3 miniature dachshunds that we travel with, all seasoned travellers. We currently own our first RV purchased new in 2000 and our third RV purchased new in 2020. We love travelling across country, sometimes in our RV and sometimes with a truck pulling a trailer. Hopefully we'll be able to start taking more road trips in the near future! Our one acre blueberry field in FL takes time to pamper, with our first u-pick season this spring.

There was more than enough room for us. Our kids really enjoyed all the animals and picking blueberries. It was a nice quiet stay, with no concerns about safety.

We had a wonderful stay here. There was a ton of animals to attract my kiddos and the amount of land for my dog to walk was amazing. I loved seeing all the chickens just out and about. The blueberries were an amazing surprise as well. My kids had a ton of fun picking them. The hosts were very informative and were able to answer any questions we had. 10/10 would stay here again

Come for the day or come for a stay. This was our second stay with L & D at Heatherwood Farm. We returned for the berries. We certainly got our share and more. We picked 8 lbs for ourselves and more to give back to the farm. It’s such a relaxing and beautiful place. Our kind of ecotherapy. Our hosts were more than accommodating. Full of entertaining stories and helpful tips for next year’s trip to Alaska. We can’t thank you for your kindess enough, Linda & Dave. 💛🫐💛

We stayed only one night at Heatherwood Farm but it was a very quit and restful night. When we arrived we weren't sure where to park but it wasn't long until Linda showed me the hook ups and where to go. It wasn't long after that, that we had our chairs out and relaxing after a long day on the road. There is tons of room in which to turn around so parking and setting up are easy. There is some road noise but not like you get at some places. If you happen to be parked by Cruiser's corral be sure to give him a carrot or two he might not warm up to you at first but he will in the morning. Be sure to ask Linda first though. Linda and Dave were very pleasant and easy to talk to and I would have not problems is staying here again an highly recommend this as a stop over if even for one night. Thank you again Dave and Linda for letting us boondock on your homestead.
