We are under five miles off I-75 and US 441. We are near Micanopy, which is a quaint town with antique and other types of shops. Suggested Local Attractions: We are about five miles from the quaint town of Micanopy, which was the setting for Doc Hollywood. We are within thirty minutes of Ocala and twenty minutes from Gainesville. There are great roads around for biking in the country and we are fifteen minutes from the Hawthorne Trail. Within an hour drive are different springs or rivers for water adventures. We are on the northern side of Ocala horse country and about twenty-five minutes from HITS and the World Equestrian Center. We are twenty minutes from the University of Florida campus and the UF Health and Shands Hospitals, as well as the VA Hospital. Ocala and Gainesville have many different performing arts and sports venues and there is easy access to all of the University of Florida sports fields. Come join us on Gator Football weekends!

House Rules
No smoking on property. Children must be behaved and supervised. Dogs are most welcome, but are best kept on-leash. Please only walk them around our house or in the back and not down the driveway. Our daughter has a dog that they allow off-leash when they are out with her, but she does not like other dogs, so avoiding that area of the property is appreciated. Please walk your dogs on the back of our property and not down the driveway for this reason. No barking dogs. No loud music. We will discuss individual needs when you reserve.
Location
Access Road Conditions: We are off a hard road, but our drive is gravel. We have a long driveway and you will need to be able to maneuver to either back in to the spot or back out of the spot. The concrete driveway can accommodate up to a 35 foot long RV or, for longer rigs, we have grass parking in front of our trailer or in the field. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: You will need to unhook your tow vehicle, but parking is available on the grass.

Looking Forward to Retirement Details: We are a couple who enjoy camping, RVing, biking with our electric bikes, kayaking, golf (him) and quilting (her). We enjoy spending time with our children and grandchildren and other family members, especially if camping together. We enjoy meeting new people and have organized RV rallies in the past. Home Town: Micanopy, Florida Micanopy, FL Skills or Expertise to Share: We built our log home and another sticks and bricks home ourselves.

We had a great stay. Was pouring rain when we arrived and Kevin came out and helped us into the spot. Very kind and hospitable hosts. Quiet night. Would definitely recommend this spot if traveling through Florida!

Hosts were extremely nice and accommodating, helping us back in and get set up, and even cutting down a branch for us to get out at the end of our stay. Would highly recommend and would like to go back!
