Location

Access Road Conditions: We are on a gravel road. We are at the top of a steep hill. Perhaps 8% grade. We travel it regularly with our 33’ fifth wheel. Getting into our circular driveway may take some experience for those over 35’ but otherwise, no problem. Site is open, no trees overhead. The site is pull in and out, no need to back-in. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: We have 10 acres and several parking spaces for our trailers and your tow vehicles or trailer if double-tow.

Quaint log home and homestead Details: Our children are grown and living their own adventures and now it is time to enjoy our prime time together. We love our RV lifestyle and while we have a few more years before we can go full-time it is a great time to open our property to others who are on the road. We live on 10 beautifuly maintained acres with a log home and over 100 yr old barn. We are just off the Highway 60 for those planning to travel to or through Algonquin Park, and perfectly situated in the Ontario Highlands with beautiful lakes, multi-use trails and wonderful pioneer history. Home Town: We are a Canadian military veteran family and so hometown tends to depend on the year. But we have been residents of the beautiful Ottawa Valley for several decades. A great day-trip to Ottawa, hiking trails, the Ottawa River and Whitewater Capital of Canada. And just minutes to the ATV trails. Favorite Boondocking Locations: Our favourite travelling destinations are the ones that come with unique experiences - a unique location, a beautiful view, great friendships formed. Skills or Expertise to Share: We are very involved in the local tourism industry as volunteer executives of the local ATV Club and can offer great suggestions of the road less travelled. We have been RV’ing coast to coast for several years. We can provide support and welcome in both English and French and could likely manage through German.

What a perfect stop for us. Steve and Teresa welcomed us with fresh eggs and tomatoes from the garden. The directions to their spot are clear and don't be intimated by the steep hill. It does look daunting as you sit at the bottom but it is very doable. When you arrive you drive directly onto a level gravel parking spot with electric hookup right on site. It is such an easy in and out. We spent our days touring the area and also just relaxing and enjoying the peace. Don't miss eating at the Wilno Inn serving authentic Polish food. Killaloe has a pretty park and covered bridge and of course the origional Beaver Tail. We did not have time to explore the caves so a return visit is planned. Thank you Steve and Teresa.

This was a nice quiet stop and I was very thankful to have access to power to enable me to run the AC as it was so hot out. Thanks for the opportunity to stay on your property.

Our host was more than accommodating- meeting us at the driveway for our late arrival which gave us the opportunity not to rush through Algonquin and also enjoy some delicious local fare. We appreciate meeting awesome people and having a safe, comfortable place to stay. Thank you!

Ste e and Teresa are wonderful hosts. We stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed the tranquility of there beautiful property. We had a nice flat gravveled area to park with electricity set up right there, over looking Teresa's beautiful garden. Hosts were friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Thank you for the great food recommendations, we even got a beaver tail for on the way home!
