Retired but still playing with Motorcycles and Airplanes We travel in a large 5th wheeler because we carry toys with us. No worries, they stay inside unless we are in the wilderness. Skills or Expertise to Share: I used to be a certified RV Technician and still have a full mechanical shop in Heisler. I also build Custom Motorcycles and Airplanes, so I guess I am mechanically inclined? We NEVER party or do anything loud and try to be as quiet as possible.

The property was challenging to access as an old motorhome appeared to be blocking the roadway. The grass was knee high all around, old grown over equipment was here and there. We had to walk ahead to see where it was safe to drive around the motorhome and find a place to park. Once we'd determined that, we did have lots of space to park in some shade and settle in. It was quiet, within walking distance of the town of Heisler, and very private. We had lots of space to set up the screen room to save us from the evening mosquitos. We never did meet the host, nor was communication returned. We had cancelled our first booking with him as the weather was too wet a couple weeks previous. At that time the host was very communicative and hospitable, offering power and water at his business location in town. Our hope is that he had not taken ill or something, this time. This site did not have a campfire ring as offered and the RV dump & water were at the dump station in town. (none visible on this site as suggested). We stayed 3 nights and the good outweighed the not so good start.

Although the host had sent us adequate instructions to locate his property we found the access somewhat inhibiting; overgrown grass, abandoned RV partially blocking the entrance. However we persevered, drove onto the property and parked our unit up against the trees. It was a lovely quiet spot that found us staying for 3 nights along with another BW couple. Throughout our stay we walked into town a few times to shop at the local general store that sells very tasty meat, to have a drink at the local pub and even take in a men’s fastball game. Heisler is a quaint little village and a great staging spot to explore this part of Alberta for a few days; which we did. Although we never met the host his information on RV dump station and potable water was accurate.

The host could not have been more accommodating. Many choices of where to park the RV. We stayed in town and loved it and not out on the highway...it was very quiet.....except for the birds chirping.
