Such a fantastic spot! The pasture is easy to access from the road. We appreciated the picnic table and fire ring being available though it was too cold for us to enjoy this visit. This spot is quiet, peaceful and completely private. We arrived from IH-30 and enjoyed the back road driving. We left via IH-20 and it was only a 20-25 minute drive to the Interstate. Next time we want to make more time to see the Autrey House Museum since Dubach is the DogTrot Capital of the World!

We enjoyed our stay at Hico Hideaway, a true boondocking experiance. We missed the property on our first pass (had to go to the church down the road to turn around) because we were looking for a driveway. The host was mowing the back half of the property and saw us go by so he was waiting to flag us over on our second pass :) The dogs loved the wide open pasture to run and roll around in the grass. The owner was easy to communicate with and checked in with us during the stay.

Nice very large flat area, our dogs loved it. Heard some deer at night but didn't see them. Didn't get to meet host but kept in great contact with him. If you're into Bonnie and Clyde history this is the place to be. Saw the Bonnie and Clyde Ambush museum and the site of the infamous ambush. This location was so peaceful and quiet we would definitely stay here again. Thanks to our host for trusting us being there when he wasn't.

A nice level grassy place to park and watch the sun go down. Picnic table and fire ring. Peace and quiet. Thanks for your hospitality.
