My little mini farm is in the Green Mt national forest area on 26 acres right off of a quiet well maintained unpaved forest service road. There are roaming free range chickens and a tiny 4 pound dog, so all dogs must be quiet and friendly towards chickens and other animals. Dog poop must be cleaned up. Occasionally I have fresh organic eggs as well as my organic produce and homemade healthy products for sale. I will even prepare box lunches if you want to hike in the area and do not want to go into town to buy extra food or do not have enough in your rig. This is a WIFI /chemical free zone sanctuary for people who can not tolerate the dangerous microwave emissions from phones, smart meters, and cell towers. You are welcomed to plug in your laptop to my wired modem! I will provide a long ethernet cord. There is limited cell service on my property depending on your carrier. If you desire electricity and water then I ask for a $10.00 donation as utilities in Vermont are some of the highest in the country. If just using a water fill up only, $5.00 per night is all I would ask. Suggested Local Attractions: Moosalamoo camp ground and national recreation area, Silver lake state forest park with hiking trails, swimming with sandy beach, picnic area and toilet facilities, Hog back mountain for beautiful views, micro breweries, The long trail and Catamount hiking and ski trails. Lake Dunmore boating and fishing with boat rentals, and more! Branbury state park on lake Dunmore also has a black water dumping area. Town of Middlebury and Middlebury college which offer many activities. Brandon(15 minutes away) is a charming New England Town with restaurants, shops and a French bakery/ wine shop. The Blueberry Hill Inn is right down the road if you want an elaborate gourmet meal or want to go cross county skiing or hiking on the trails. There is not always seating there for people not staying at the Inn. I am a trained chef and can also prepare simple to gourmet organic meals with advanced notice.

Location

Access Road Conditions: moderately easy access. This is a well maintained wide unpaved forest service road. It is steep on the south end coming from Route 73. This is in a mountainous rural area. In the spring mud season, the road can sometimes be too muddy for easy access. There are some low hanging branches that large rigs would have a problem with (I found out), but am working on an alternate access. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: You can park next to your rig right on the property. I have to prune some tree branches for really high rigs to get in here in my parking area at the road, but am making a possible entry onto the property from my field. Rigs with very low suspension may have some issues. Just inquirer.

Owner of High Meadow, a beautiful nature retreat in the national forest area. Details: I am an educated and well world traveled person who has lived abroad over the years in different countries. My interests are related to environmentalism, wholesome healthy organic living, culinary arts, wildlife, pets, art ,building, organic gardening and music. I have a lovely "farmette" in a mountain meadow with forested land as well, overlooking a 20 acre pond with an island and a mountain right in the middle of the green mountain national forest area in Goshen VT USA. This is a WiFi free/ chemical free sanctuary with no EMF emissions from cell towers, smart meters and cell phones. It is a great place to be for microwave sensitive folks and chemical sensitivity. I have resident free range chickens and a 4 pound Russian Toy Terrier. If you have quiet pets, they have to be friendly towards other animals or be restrained while on the property I would need to know who high your rig is due to some trees. My hosting location has so many wonderful attractions nearby, such as micro breweries and vineyards, a huge reservoir to swim or kayak in right down my road and I am practically right on the Catamount trail and near the long trail. Hogback mountain has a wild blueberry picking area with a majestic view of the green mountains. Silver Lake State park has a beautiful white sandy beach and a huge pristine swimming and fishing lake with access right from my area. There are many large streams for fishing right here as well. Lake Dunmore and Branbury beach state park is just 15-20 minutes away and they have a sani dump station for Rvs for your black water tank for a fee. Aside from the pre ordered simple to elaborate meals I can provide, there is Café Province just 15 minutes away in Brandon, other restaurants, galleries and a French bakery. I also offer a collection of over 300 movies to choose from which you can watch on a huge screen. Home Town: Goshen VT and Harrisburg PA Favorite Boondocking Locations: I have never owned an RV but have just gotten a camper van. My hosting location has so many wonderful attractions nearby, such as micro breweries and vineyards, a huge reservoir to swim or kayak in right down my road and I am practically right on the Catamount trail and near the long trail. Lake Dunmore and Branbury beach state park is just 15 minutes away. Silver Lake is a special gem with access right here in Goshen. There are many streams for fishing as well. Aside from the pre ordered meals I can provide, there is Café Province just 15 minutes away in Brandon and other restaurants and galleries and a French bakery. Skills or Expertise to Share: I am a ESL language specialist and a trained chef and ran my place as a whole foods B&B nature retreat for many years. I like to fix design and build things, and invent new culinary delights. I also study animal behavior and intelligence. When I am not doing my environmental activities I love to do artwork and simply be in nature walking, talking to animals, swimming or growing food. I have some " fix it" and technical skills. If you would like a simple or a 5 course gourmet meal, let me know in advance!! I will cater to your culinary desires! I also have fresh organic eggs for sale and sometimes my organic vegetables right from the garden. If you want to see movies I have a huge collection and a 75" TV. Utilities in Vermont are very high, so I ask $6.00 per night if you need to use electricity and $2.00 more if a water hookup is desired. If you need electricity, I have some cord and extra hose for water but would prefer if you have your own if possible. I am not able to accommodate 30 amp hookup. (I learned the hard way recently) and had to have an electrician fix the burnt out wall sockets.

what a lovely lady and location! it was foggy, so didnt have the best views, but it was lively nonetheless. My dog and i also enjoyed some nice walks along the lovely VT dirt roads. there are also trails close by but it had been raining so we didn’t tackle them. Due to so much rain. The only place I felt comfortable parking was near the road. The road isn’t very busy except for in the morning on a work day. It wasn’t bad though.

Enjoyed chatting with the host. Road was in good condition. We parked in a level area. Short walk to pond. Nice place for the night. No cell service so we had to ask for directions to figure out which direction to leave for our next stop.
