We moved from California to 5 acres in Texas Hill Country for our retirement. We love living here in retirement with our 2 dogs (2 year old Aussie Shepherd and 1 year old Bernedoodle), one orange tabby cat, and 6 (currently) chickens. We started RVing also in preparation for our retirement back in 2017. We love camping in state or national parks! One of the best parts of camping is talking to other RVers and learning about where they have been and sharing where we have been.

We needed to arrive rather late due to a flat tire. Terry and Ann couldn't have been nicer. They have a beautiful property and the RV was parked in a shady area and they supplied electricity as well. The next day they brought a basket with homemade muffins, fresh eggs from their chickens, tips on where to eat and visit and a sign welcoming us with our names!. Able to bring the dogs and take some walks. We were able to have a social drink and the conversation was enjoyable. Nice recommendations for area attractions. Definitely a wonderful experience.

I loved my stay here, the hosts were so welcoming brought me a basket with fresh eggs and the best little carrot cake muffin bread piece of heaven I’ve ever had. Thank you for making me feel welcome… I feel bad I didn’t get to spend more time with them I was dealing with a flat tire.

We stayed here 11/19–21/2022. The hosts provided good directions and communication, greeted us at the gate to assist with parking, and provided an overview of the amenities available during our stay. Vegetation around the site afforded privacy, yet was close to the hosts' residence and their park-like back yard. Terry and Ann provided a wonderful welcome basket with homemade muffins, eggs from their chickens, and information about things to do in the area. We enjoyed a delightful evening on their back porch with Terry and Ann and visiting son Jason – sharing experiences and perspectives. We truly hope to be back this way sometime again to visit these new friends.

Is this going to be the best Boondockers Welcome spot you ever stay at? Almost certainly. Will this location ruin you for all other BDW stays? Pretty likely. Are Ann and Terry some of the nicest most generous humans we’ve ever met? 💯💯💯 We couldn’t have asked for a better three nights stay. Hill Country Hosts is perfectly located to explore both Austin and Hill Country. The spot is great; level, gravel, and quite long. The property is large and the amenities they include with a stay are truly astounding (electricity, WiFi,welcome muffins and farm fresh eggs, three pages of recommendations in the area, use of the pool and hot tub, use of their outdoor kitchen and bathroom.) We even used the outdoor dog wash station to wash our pup who had the best time playing with their two pups for our stay. We loved hanging out on their porch and chatting over drinks oir first night as well. We will truly never forget our stay here and Terry and Ann’s generosity!

We had such a lovely stay at Terry and Ann’s place, they truly go above and beyond for their guests! They have a lovely oasis just outside of Austin, and getting to know them (and their sweet pups) over happy hour and throughout out stay was such a treat. Highly recommend a stay here if you are in the area - you won’t regret it! Thank you, Clearkins, for everything!
