Just 30 minutes drive from Austin at the gateway to Texas Hill Country. If festivals, great music and food are your thing this is an ideal location for Austin. If beautiful countryside, breweries and distilleries are your thing then also a great location. Set on 5 acres with pool, fire pits, and separate outdoor kitchen and lounge area.

host Profile

Hosted By Clearkins

Age:

55-65

We moved from California to 5 acres in Texas Hill Country for our retirement. We love living here in retirement with our 2 dogs (2 year old Aussie Shepherd and 1 year old Bernedoodle), one orange tabby cat, and 6 (currently) chickens. We started RVing also in preparation for our retirement back in 2017. We love camping in state or national parks! One of the best parts of camping is talking to other RVers and learning about where they have been and sharing where we have been.

Beyond anything you would hope for. Hosts have created an exquisite, serene environment for themselves and are so generous to share it all with their guests. Wonderful, welcoming people.

We were greeted with fresh, delcious muffins and a personalized welcome sign! The spot was quiet and out of the city, but conveniently located. We had our two little kids with us and we all felt right at home!

Hosts made it easy to find and navigate to the spot. They greeted us & let us know we were welcome to walk around their property & use their outdoor features. We felt welcomed & safe at their property. Also our Starlink had a great connection.

This is a great spot! Good communication, close to downtown Austin, very friendly hosts and dogs. We were greeted at the gate and were given delicious hommade muffins when we arrived. The property is awesome, spacious and private spot. Our dog was able to be off leash and played with the host’s dogs as well. Can easily get to downtown Austin in about 25-30 minutes (pending traffic). Highly recommend this stop, its going to be a hard one to beat πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Without a doubt, a very special destination. The Clearkins do everything to make sure you are comfortable and make you feel welcome. Yes, even the yummy muffins and the welcome sign. If you are there for the breweries, wineries and/or istilleries, this is the spot. So convienient to all of the Hill Country attractions. If you are there to just take a break from driving, they also have ammenitires for that; bocce court, pool, outdoor kitchen, trail and more. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. We were busy with family, but will be back again! Finally, nothing to do with the Clearkins, but if you are coming from the west on 290, DO NOT TURN ON TRAUTWEIN RD!! THIS IS A NARROW, WINDING ROAD NOT SUITABLE FOR MEDIUM TO LARGE RV'S, in my opinion. Please continue east to FITZHUGH RD. It's a much better choice. Thanks again!!
