We are midwesterners who love people. Details: We love to camp and also love our toys - Motorcycles, UTV and Pontoon boat. We've been RVing for many years and currently own a diesel pusher. We love to camp locally or travel around the beautiful US. We own a business, so we work hard and love our free time. It was a joke at first when our cousin wanted to camp at our house before any of the campgrounds were open in the Spring. We installed 30 amp service. and we started calling it Honest Dave's Campground. We have a beautiful site in the woods, but not far from the highway and town. We also have another site available on Lake Wausau that we lovingly call our Honest Dave's North Campground and Marina. It's a beautiful little spot right on the lake in the middle of town. We like to refer to it as Urban Glamping. Home Town: Our home town is Schofield, WI which is near Wausau. Dave grew up in Wausau and Terri is originally from Racine, WI. Favorite Boondocking Locations: Walmart, friend's driveways, travel centers Skills or Expertise to Share: We can tell you anything you want to know about insurance. We know a lot about motorhomes. Love to cook and putter with tools and fixing things.

The hosts are so open and welcoming. I got great help backing in so I felt secure driving to a concrete pad with power if you need it and a beautiful quiet forest all around. Long time campers themselves so lots of tips and tales. Thanks for a great stay.

Since we are towing a long trailer we were asked to back up the driveway - not a problem except a bit dicey making the initial turn into the driveway from the street - deep ditches and no shoulders. We are very comfortable with our backing technique but if you aren't be aware this could challenge you.... Other than that the hosts were delightful and the forest behind the house was calming. The frog song was nice - the bird that decided to try to peck a hole into the metal downspout early in the morning needs some lessons in the difference between wood and aluminum.
