We live in the country on a working far, mostly grain and beef cattle. Parking for an RV is near our two ponds, but also near our spring "sap shack", for making maple syrup, and by 4 grain bins. They should not be a problem, and are actually a nice barrier from the road. Suggested Local Attractions:We are 30 miles from Menomonie which has many attractions, including the Red Cedar Trail, Mabel Tainter Theater, Cottage Winery, and several brew pubs. We are one hour from Eau Claire, where there is always something happening, and 1 1/2 hours from Minneapolis/St. Paul, where options are limitless!

House Rules
We are a working farm, with cattle and machinery. Most of the time this should not be an issue, exceptions may be early spring and late fall, with field work and calving. We would prefer no smoking. Quiet hours between 10:00 pm and 8:00 am. Because of our two ponds, which are not fenced, contain very cold spring water, and are relatively deep, it is not recommended for young children.
Location
Access Road Conditions: County Road is paved. Driveway into property is at a slight decline. Parking is level. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: Tow RV can be backed in next to our "sap shack" and driver vehicle can be parked on driveway just around the corner.

Semi-retired farmers and teachers Details: Both my husband, Jim, and I (Jill) are retired teachers. We have been living on our property for 43 years and farm crops and have beef cattle, although, we are down-sizing! We love to travel and currently own a 27 ft. class C camper. Home Town: Prairie Farm, WI We live in rural Wisconsin, between two little towns, Prairie Farm and Connorsville. We are about a 30 minute drive in any direction to the towns of Menomonie, Barron, Amery and New Richmond, WI. Eau Claire, WI is about one hour away, and the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul are about one and a half hours away.

Hosts were very accomodating, nice folks. Beautiful area. Got to see their Maple sap cooking procedure before we had to leave. Would go back anytime.

This was a beautiful site below the house and right next to a spring and the sugar evaporation shack. What more could one ask for. This couple brought a cord from one of the farm buildings and we had enough to keep the fans running during the evening. The site got cool by morning and was very comfortable. We were surprised to find that this beautiful couple and site had never hosted a set of boondockers before. They were wonderful hosts and asked us up to the porch where we got a wonderful view of the bonds and terrific conversation. We will gladly stay again when in the area!
