Retired Architect and retired Teacher that love to travel. We joined HarvestHosts primarily for the hosting part…as our teardrop camper is not completely self-contained. We live in the Central Illinois area and also enjoy time with our parents, kids, and grandkids that all live in Illinois.

Great location and host. Gary went above and beyond for us. If we travel thru again we will ask to return.

Our first real stay with a host and it did not disappoint. Gary and Barb communicated quickly and clearly and were very welcoming. Their property was lovely, scenic, and quiet. There are walking trails through their woods with a lake (bass fishing!), an old cabin, a suspension bridge, and deer. They had power, water, and firewood available. Also a stack of boards just perfect for leveling. They even left a 50' extension cord out for our 30amp. They asked nothing in return except $5 for the power hookup. Highly recommend a stop in this beautiful farmland area.

III Gulley Ranch was a nice quiet stay tucked back on a beautiful piece of property. Gary greeted us when we arrived and helped us get settled, even providing leveling boards and extra cords for hookup. Thank you to Gary and Barb for your kind hospitality and sharing your place with us. Will definitely stop again if in the area.

After my gps gave us a tour of the perimeter of many corn fields and we were way late... Gary hunted us down and lead us in. He ever so graciously hooked up our water and elec for us tired and travel weary gals. Was sooo kind of him and we so appreciated his concern and attention. Will devinately stay again if in area!!

This was our first boondockers welcome stay. We arrived in the early evening during a thunderstorm. There was a lot of traffic due to an annual fish fry across the road, but the hosts were very accommodating making sure we knew had to get in. The ground was quite soft, so we were unable to pull into the parking space, but Gary was very helpful in getting us backed up and level. The grounds were beautiful and despite the rain we were able to explore the property some. It was beautiful with many trails, a suspension bridge and a small pond. We had a peaceful stay. Communication with the hosts was excellent. Would definitely recommend and stay again if in the area.
