House Rules

Be clean, be mindful of your pets, and if your pet is a "digger" or aggressive, please keep them leashed as I have a very gentle dog. I have a wonderful patio, Gas grill, and guests may use it upon request, a great little streamside lounge, "the Oxbow Lounge", and happy hour is always welcome! I live in the National Forest, and parking for my RV guests is on grass, therefore I cannot allow generator use unless it is 24+" off the ground, or you have a "welders mat" or similar so as to prevent wildfire.

Location

Rv parking is on level grass, gravel also available close by for the longer rigs. Where you will park, you will hear the stream close by, and the Oxbow Lounge is a matter of a few steps away for you to enjoy the sights and sounds of the stream in the shade of mature Engleman Spruce trees.

Hey fellow Boondockers, I am single, retired, from Army Special Forces and live on 20 acres in a chunk of "406" paradise on the North side of the Anaconda Pintler Wilderness in Granite County, Montana. I enjoy meeting others who enjoy the peace and quiet of living "out away" from the everyday. I have a wonderful 10 year old Vizsla who is my bestie and constant companion.

Is this heaven? No, it’s Montana! At JB’s cabin in the wooded mountains. You will never forget a night at this absolutely gorgeous property in a remote and spectacular location. Not to mention the generous and kind hospitality of JB, the Boondockers ‘Trail Angel’. His log home cabin could be in Architectural Digest and the unique furnishings provided a warm and inviting ambiance. JB communicated quickly and clearly and was helpful with solving some issues we had with our first winter camping adventure. This was an experience we will never forget and a host who may become a lifelong friend.

Words can’t describe the gracious generosity, gorgeous views, and magical moments we experienced in the 18 hrs we spent with JB at his cabin in the woods. From the beginning JB welcomed us not only onto his property but into his beautiful custom built log cabin home. We made a new friend instantly and spent all night chatting about life over wine and homemade pizza! We sauntered thru the hidden alcoves like Oxbow Loudge, The Sauna House, all with views of mini waterfalls in a creek running thru the land. Lets just say, we didnt want to leave! Thank you for such a wonderful experience. We hope to meet again!

JB's cabin is a bit of a trek down an unpaved road. You think you've gone the wrong way, but eventually you discover his little slice of paradise. This little spot is amazing. JB has made an amazing place for himself along the creek in the woods. You'll have a great spot to park along the creek and the Oxbow Lounge to sit and enjoy the scenery. JB is beyond friendly and accommodating. He has good stories and his dog Gunnar is energetic and playful. I can't recommend this spot enough. Well worth the trip.

The pictures don't do this site justice!! I loved this place so much that a stayed a few days. JB could not have been any more accommodating! We went went for a Can-Am ride for a few hours in the magnificent mountains behind JBs house. Don't let the few miles on a gravel road be a deterrent, it is totally worth the drive. I now consider JB a good friend! Don't miss out on this gem of a stay!
