Jay and Rick are wonderful people to meet, we were tucked away in the back with a view of the forest and marches, a very peaceful place. In the morning we were treated to a yummy café au lait, had another nice exchange of ideas, travelling tips etc., before we said thank you and good bye.

We wish we could have arrived earlier so as to spend more time connecting with our very cool hosts. Jay responded almost instantly to our request and even adjusted the dates (my fat fingers!) for us. Rick and Jay were a pleasure. Her jewelry & studio is beautiful! We were greeted with hot cookies and sent off with ideas of where to stop next. Private back yard setting walking distance from the marina made for a lovely walk and solid sleep. We will definitely stop by again if we are ever in the area. Many thanks to these generous volunteers ❤️

Wonderful hosts! Great experience! When I arrived with my truck camper at the location I was met at the driveway by this terrific couple who helped guide me around back to the other side of their house and had me park in this pre-planned perfectly level spot. The availability of both city water and electric was a plus! The house is located on the NC Coast right across from a beautiful and well kept marina with an inlet which enters and exits into the Intracoastal Waterway. This is a very quiet neighborhood with large homes sitting on good sized lots. Beyond the backyard where I parked my camper gently slopes down to a grassy marsh creek where I saw my share of rabbits and deer parading through its edge. This large area gave me a enough space to walk my pets that travel with me and a safe place for them to do their business. The hosts were very accommodating considering I arrived the evening before Thanksgiving Day. I was sure they had plenty to do, but they kindly invited me into their warm home where they entertained me with a glass of red wine, great stories which half of them I didn’t believe, but then again it provided all of us with lots of laughter. This was certainly the perfect spot to overnight for a tired soul before heading out early the next morning feeling refreshed and ready to fulfill my own Thanksgiving Day plans with family and friends. Thank you for the being such great hosts! Dusty
