This is a Boondockers Welcome host in Peru, NE

Same Day Requests
Jerrys Workshop is located on the corner of Sycamore and 6th St. The GPS does not account for the changes since the flood, so for that reason you must go one block PAST Sycamore street, turn left at the barricade (you can't go any farther anyway) go one block and turn left on 6th Street. The shop is behind the yellow house at 220 6th St. You will have to turn right into the driveway beside the house. Utilities are beside the corner of the building. Please call Linda at 850=916-1616 or Jerry at 402-274-9474 if you have any questions. Texting is very time consuming for us and we are usually in the middle of something.... therefore it is much easier to take a minute to talk to you. During the Flood of 2019 the house on the property was destroyed. The workshop remains operational and used on a daily basis for everything...plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical...that's what we love to do here Now we are helping restore a camper for our kids and upgrading our Toyota motorhome Suggested Local Attractions:We are the home of Peru State College. We are located about 10 miles from Brownville, NE, and about 25 miles from Indian Cave State Park. The closest grocery store is in Auburn, Nebraska. There are also some good eateries in Auburn.

Nice and quiet, end of town parking spot. Level and 30 amp outlet which saved me as the temp was pretty warm and I wanted to run the AC a bit. Very nice guy, easy to get on the phone.

This was a very nice stop. A little out of the way but worth the extra drive. No one lives at the house and due to a flood in 2019 there are not many occupied houses nearby but felt safe and secure. Host visited and we traded stories. Will stop again if our travels lead us this way.

RV site was level. And was very quiet. A great place to get away. Nebraska city is close by with attractions Lewis and Clark. There is Lied Lodge also. In the Apple Jack festival mid September.. The host and hostess are very nice to talk to.

Communications were good the host was not there when we arrived but gave us good instructions on location of hook ups. Good neighbor hood watch one came over to be sure we had permission to be on property. Was not a problem just checking with us to be sure. Talked with one of the host later he offered to let us extend our stay if needed. Driving to location it is obvious that several of the properties flooded and were left unattended but again not any issues. Had 30amp service and was offered h2o. Good Mexican restaurant in Nebraska City El Portal worth the drive. Wood stay again good restful sleep. Thanks, for sharing with us! Monroe

@Jerry's Workshop was a great place to stop over for the night with a fairly level site on nice grass. The availability of 30 amp power was a welcome plus. We'd stay again and thank you!
