I live on 2 acres that is surrounded by 3 ponds. It is a dead end road so no traffic as I am the 3rd house from the dead end. Across the street is a pond and you would have some privacy with the trees from the house. It is 3 minutes to downtown where there are a couple of bars, bead shop, pizza and ice cream shop and old fashioned drive inn restaurant, cafe and coffee shop. If you cross the river into Wisconsin there is Walmart, Marketplace, Tractor Supply and Menards. There is also an organic store, vegetarian restaurant and other bars and steak houses. Suggested Local Attractions: Downtown has the Frost Top Drive Inn & mini golf, The Goat bar, and Romaynes bar. In St Croix Falls there is the Dallas house bar restaurant and fine dining, definitely try their popovers! Fon Da Rosa - animal park with deer and other animals that you can feed and pet past the Walmart on the left of hwy 8. Further east on hwy 8 is the mini golf and go carts place which is about 1/2 mile east from the Menards round about on the left. The 17th hole is our favorite and we try to play that hole at least 3 times. Interstate Park - MN and WI sides, Wild River State Park, William O'Brien state Park. Taylors Falls scenic boat tours on a large paddleboat down the St Croix River. Boats run anywhere from 1-4 excursions per day depending on which day of the week. Downtown Taylors Falls offers: The Bead store, Coffee Talk, Schooney's pizza, Tangled in Blue restaurant, and Juneberry cafe. In Balsam Lake, which is another favorite small town near me is the Thirsty Otter for outdoor on the deck with water view dining or for a very nice old fashion supperclub dinner check out IndianHead Supper club. Balsam is about 20 minutes from Taylors Falls. They also have a beach there with playground at the lake for fun with your little people. If you are here to golf you can check out Chisago Lakes Golf Course and right over the river into WI is the St Croix Golf Course and Crooked Creek Golf Course in Osceola as well as the Luck Golf Course in Luck.

Location
Access Road Conditions: The road is a dead end with a turn around area between the last two driveways. The road is a small curvy road that is a 1/2 mile long, speed is 20-25mph since the road is narrow. I am near the end of the road on the left. As you can see in the pictures my driveway is a single driveway with a bit of a sloped drop off on the other side of the driveway. I have a large parking area at the top of the driveway, but not enough room to turn around with a camper hooked up. Please make sure to check out my pictures so you are comfortable getting into the space with your rv/trailer. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: I have off-street parking. You can park on the street or in the yard or driveway.

Loving the river valley Details: Hello, I live in a small river valley town along the St Croix River. I was born in St. Paul, moved to Tempe, AZ during 2nd grade, came back to MN at the end of 6th grade, and then moved to Blunt, SD for my last two years of high school. I have worked for a medical device company for the last 17 years. I am looking forward to RV'ing in my future, maybe sooner than later with our world today. I love the country life and also being by the river. It takes less than 5 minutes to get to WI. I am surrounded by many lakes and state parks on both sides of the border. It is a beautiful area with lots to do and see for everyone. My military daughter and SIL just bought a large pull behind and dually truck to start their adventures with their two small children. Home Town: My home town currently is Taylors Falls, MN. It is a beautiful little river town with about 1000 people. On the weekends it is probably more like 3000 as everyone comes up north to hike, go to the lakes, and enjoy the state parks here. I live on a dead end road up on the hill that is pretty quiet. We have neighbor get togethers and we all know each other. We have an old fashioned root beer drive inn downtown. There is a bead store downtown that has many treasures. There are crystals/rocks, salt lamps, beads, jewelry and all kinds of things that you will want to check out. We have two bars that both have great food and a pizza place as well as a wonderful little cafe that is all made from scratch and fresh from the garden food. There are also many other lakes and little towns that are worth a visit within 30min drive. I am about 45 miles north of the cities so any and all amenities are not far. There is a BP station about 10 miles away that has a dumping station for RV's in Center City. Favorite Boondocking Locations: I don't have any yet but I hope to find some in SD, Montana, Wyoming and Colorado to start. Skills or Expertise to Share: I am a people loving person that wants to share a little slice of my heaven for those that may be traveling through. I am looking forward to meeting genuine good people that can enjoy what is here as they travel through this beautiful area.

We had a very nice stay at Jinski’s place. Kim was friendly and wanted to make sure our stay was comfortable. The electrical outlet was quite a distance from the grass parking area, but an extension cord solved that problem quickly. The dogs and cats were friendly. Thanks so much for a great stay!

Jinksi's Cabin is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood in the woods with beautiful scenery around for a nice walk, hike and bike rides. Kim was very kind, communicated well, and made me feel at home during my stay. I hope to have a chance to stop by again sometime!

We had a wonderful time with our stay at Jinksi’s. Kim was so very kind and helpful as well we had some good conversations. She sure has a beautiful place and the dogs, Jazzy and Bailey + the two cats, are so very friendly. We also loved the recommendations she provided for a restaurant in Balsam Lake called the Thirsty Otter. We did lots of walking in Taylors Falls as well visited the brewery and Coffee Talk as well. As always, it’s just fun to come back and visit the area.

My experience at Jinkski's Cabin in the Woods was fantastic. We ran into a storm en route and I used the BD app to communicate, it went perfectly. Our host was going to be away from the "cabin" for 4th of July fireworks but gave me clear parking instructions and recommendations for the coolest drive in hamburger joint in town! The subdivision was a bit out of town and very quiet. We did not get to meet our hosts in person but I felt like I got to know them through the power of the internet! Great experience, I will use again next time I am in the area!
