We have a nice private location on our seventeen acres in rural Richmond NH. Plenty of room for you to stretch out with your screen house or canopy next to the fire pit. There is no electricity, WiFi, or water on site but if your water tank is low you can fill up at our house. Good drivers with 31’ or less total may use our septic hook up, however you can dump at the Keene treatment plant located at Keene Dellant-Hopkins Airport in Swanzey follow the road past the terminal. Cel service is spotty but a new tower has just been erected one mile away and should be operational soon, maybe August 2022. There is a WiFi hot spot near the town library next to the fire station. The site is right next to a Pond (see parking information below) and you will be our guest for swimming or you can fish for bass from shore, canoe, kayak or your small boat. (License required) The property around the lake is undeveloped so it's still prestine. There is a public boat ramp at the end of the road and only small engines are allowed on the lake. We are on a well maintained gravel dead end road with only two full time residents. Large level spot with enough space for more than one big RV. We have free fire wood so you can leave yours home and not break any state laws. You can explore our woods and sit on our big rock or do nothing at all. This is a great place for you to hang your hat for a while and feel safe. We live within walking distance so you may walk up, sit by Susan’s perennial garden and use the high speed internet to plan your next adventure or review our portfolio of local attractions and brochures. Suggested Local Attractions:Mount Monadnock a 3200 foot elevation mountain is less than 1/2 hr away. This is the most climbed mountain in the US with many trails and great views of the Monadnock region. Only five miles away is Rhododendron State Park although it’s beautiful year round the blooms in July are spectacular. We have the same wild variety Rhododendron Maximus growing in our backyard (deep hoot). We advise you to go to nhstateparks.org before you visit us. A short drive south on Rte 32 is Tully Lake with hiking trails, frisbee golf and boating. Farther south is Quabin resovoir with nesting eagles. If you like covered bridges Cheshire County has five of them all within fifteen minutes or less. Just don’t try to drive your RV through one. http://www.coveredbridgesite.com/nh/nh_co_cheshire.html Keene NH the county seat is twenty minutes north with its picturesque downtown with fine dining, Colonial Theatre, art and pumpkin festivals. Keene is where Jumanji with Robin Williams was filmed. You can also eat cheap at McDonald's, Applebee's, Five Guys, ect. There is also a free dumping station at the Keene Airport that is open early on weekdays. Propane is10 minutes west at Aubuchon hardware in Winchester NH and the lowest price for gas is there too. Cheshire County was featured on Cronicle Boston, you can watch the episode here: http://www.wcvb.com/article/main-streets-and-back-roads-of-cheshire-county-nh/13798293

We are Jerry and Sue Merrifield and retired Details: Jerry is a Vietnam veteran and is the current VFW Post 3968 commander as well as chairman of the Richmond Cemetery Trustees and Susan is a retired office manager. We are native Richmond NH residents and started rving four years ago in our 31ft. Four Winds C class that we have made extensive improvements and updates. We have twenty acres and seventeen of which are a short walk from our home and we walk our dogs there daily. Lake Buffalo is a small beaver pond named after our late golden retriever "Buffy" it drains into Cass Pond a glacial spring fed lake a great place to fish for bass, sail our Cat, paddle a kaiak or just swim. Home Town: Richmond NH is a small town with a population of 1156 and is the birthplace of President Garfield's mother as well as Hosia Balou founder of the Universalist Unitarian Church. At an elevation over 1100 feet we are a bit cooler in the summer so air conditioning is rarely needed. Skills or Expertise to Share: Jerry and Susan are retired we have done extensive upgrades and repairs to our C class including: replacing the awning, all four shocks tune-ups even upgrading the interior and much much more. We just added a wine rack for when we stay at a Harvest Host location. Also a door bell for when visitors come to call. We can comfortably live off the grid for days but miss WiFi.

The GPS coordinates took back to the address on Fitzwilliam. Differant than description of camp location. Impossible to tell the location of the camp except for the one we saw that was full of garbage. We knocked on your door to inquire of the actual location and no one was home but barking dogs - I get the impression they were home. All in all, a ruined weekend. At the very least they could have responded when we told them of our arrival and departure. Very bad experience

Our very first Boondocking site gave us an experience to remember! Cute spot with great hosts, very friendly and came to meet us. Great little field with lots of nightime chirping and a trail around the lake for the kids and dog, would love to stay again the next time through!
