Our stay at Michigan Getaway was wonderful! We spent 3 days there and explored the area. We loved the Gilmore Car Museum. Yes it backs up to the highway which all reviews tell you. If it will bother you don’t stay there. We had a great time and would stay again

Being only a few feet from the bike trail, the wife and I rode to South Haven and took in some of the sites the town had to offer. This was really convenient and a definite plus for this host location. As others have said, there is some road noise from the nearby freeway, but it did not bother us at all. It really wasn't bad at all but it may depend on what one is used to. We had no issues with a resting well at night. Our rig is 100% solar and this location was reasonable to pick up some sun during late morning and early afternoon. One could choose to back in farther to the South and get some added shade if desired if during the summer months. The property was very well maintained and the people we ran into in the neighborhood were friendly and helpful. We appreciate the host offering this spot for the BW community and we would like to return sometime!

The house was never on the property. He seemed to get exasperated with me for having so many questions about location and hook up. There is a very loud highway that runs the perimeter. Constant truck traffic day and night. I did not sleep but a few hour while I was there. Positive… well the beach is about a mile down the road and paved trails you can walk for miles. so if u are not a newbie like me, you'll love it as long as you have a noise machine w/ you.

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights. The host communication was excellent! Very quiet at the end of the dead end road, except for a little highway noise from interstate 196. But, it didn’t bother me none! As the other reviews state it is right next to the trail system that takes you into South Haven and the beaches! Next time were in the area we would love to stay here again!

We were traveling from Mackinaw City, MI to Clinton, ID and needed a place to stay for a couple of nights. We were so fortunate to find this Lake Michigan Getaway. It's on a dead end street so there isn't any street traffic. It backs up to the freeway but the noise wasn't a bother. It was easy to back into the driveway. The 50 amp hookup was a bonus. The only thing that would make it better is if there was a water hookup but we had plenty of water in our tank. Next time we are out in this area, we will definitely request another stay. Paul is very responsive to texts sent through Harvest Host and usually answered right away.
