Mike and his wife are great hosts. Mike was there when we arrived and helped us get situated. Power and water were available but with our class A it is easier to run on generator for a single night. Nice view of the lake and easy to get back to the highway in the morning. I would recommend Lake Shafer if you are looking for an overnight stop in the area.

Enjoyed 50 amp electric, water, and access to dump station. Very accomodating, friendly, and helpful. I recommend using Lake Shaffer Host 100%

It is easy to find, easy to park. Even though you are close to the road, no noise or lights. Great, on road, walking right on a lake. There is an Amusement park nearby that I walked to.

Honored to be the first guests at Lake Shafer. The Morrows were special guest at our host location in Florida. This is an outstanding location lake side in the charming town of Monticello. One would never know the rest of the world is covid crazy. Restaurants have outdoor lake side dining and great food. There is even a Drive In that is open. Can't say enough about how perfect the location and hospitality were. Stay safe....see you back in Florida in 2021.
