Conveniently located just 5 miles off of I-40, you can enjoy beautiful sunsets on Lake Dardanelle with Mt. Nebo and Spring Mountain rising majestically across the water. Paved parking area for you that is adjacent to our home but with private wooded waterfront area just for you. Our property has over 500 feet of shoreline, with nesting Herons and other water fowl nearby, roaming deer, and the occasional racoon wondering through. Though in a residential area you literally cannot see the neighboring homes and just a mile down the road is one of the locals truly favorite fishing spots. Scenic Route 7 heads north or south out of nearby Russellville, Mt. Nebo State Park is just 20 miles away, with Mt. Magazine, Petit Jean Mountain, Hot Springs, the "Arkansas Grand Canyon," Buffalo River, Mulberry River, Long Pool Recreation Area (Big Piney Creek), numerous water falls and hiking trails, and several wineries all within an hour an a half or less. Firewood is available for the masonry grill. Potable water is available, just not a direct connection at the site. There is a dump station at the Flying J in Russellville (15 min drive) though we have not personally used it. Lake Dardanelle State Park is also nearby with picnic areas, a swimming beach, campground and dump station. Fat Daddy's BBQ is just 5 miles away with numerous other restaurants in Russellville and Clarksville. Lots of great places to go for a scenic motorcycle ride.

House Rules

No smoking, no fireworks, no pets (Sorry but we have two rescues with anxiety issues -- well behaved and never outside unmonitored but we don't want to stress them out!), no excessive noise/raucous behavior, no generators before 10:00 am or after 8 pm, no swimming (lots of stumps). Please be mindful to be on the watch for snakes (not that we often see any) and also fire ants.

Location

Large paved area but gently sloping. Also gravel area next to pavilion that could accommodate smaller units backed in. Larger than 25 ft would be difficult, especially for 25 ft trailer and tow vehicle, though we have parked our previous 22 ft trailer in the paved area with a little maneuvering. If travelling together there would be room for two class B vans or other small units.

Introduced my wife to camping in a 22 ft travel trailer about 5 years ago (and have upgraded since), but grew up camping back in the 70's and 80's in my grandma's Class C and over the years have owned several towables including an A-Liner hard-side popup. Have done a variety of modifications on almost every camper I've had from bed platform upgrades to extra 12v or 110v outlets and custom cabinets and sound systems. When I was younger I did a lot of backpacking/hammock camping, whitewater kayaking, even some rock climbing, but these days we are more cautious and like a few more amenities. My wife says she's "more of a glamper, not a camper!" (Note my profile picture is a bit old -- finally gave up on dyeing my mostly gray beard back in 2020!)
