Retired Details: Currently 1/2 time campers in 2017 Casita Liberty Deluxe heavily modified to boondock whenever available. Located on a small private lakeside community about midway between Raleigh, NC and the central NC coast. Home Town: Located about 10 miles southeast of Goldsboro, NC a community of about 40,000 residents and a metro area population of around 120,000 people. Goldsboro is the home of Seymour Johnson Air Force Base and has pretty much all needed services. Favorite Boondocking Locations: Planning trip from North Carolina to Alaska via the trans Canadian Highway in mid June of '18 for a few months. Really enjoy Alaska, the deserts, and the Outer Banks of NC as well as mountains anywhere. Skills or Expertise to Share: Relatively familiar with rv construction and repair. Have a stick built homebuilt teardrop trailer and have restored several campers and boats over the years.

Larry is a wonderful host. We booked for 1 nite and ended up staying for 5 because my husband got so sick that my son had to come and rescue us. Larry was very understanding and kind. I highly recommend his little slice of paradise.

We stayed at Larry's property for one night on our trip but we'd love to go back! He was very generous and made sure we had everything we needed during our stop. His neighborhood was also great for a quick walk to view the lake and there was quick access to town for the essentials.

I had the good fortune to stay at Larry's place for two nights, and a nicer man you will not find! He was quick to offer anything I could need or want to make my visit comfortable, including parking right next to the lake since my van could fit! Larry is as generous and warmhearted as they come and has fantastic stories about a life lived in beautiful North Carolina. My only two regrets are that I didn't get to meet his wife and I didn't get a chance to say goodbye and thank you in person because I left early on a Sunday morning and didn't want to disturb the household. Oh and, I would have loved more time to hear about all things North Carolina so I guess it is three regrets! That just means I'll have to go back for another visit again someday. Thank you LarryJ, you are the best my friend. P.S. if you stay there, check out Goldsboro nearby, its a great town.
