We are located in a tiny town called Girard. Nothing fancy. Fairly remote when it comes to shopping, restaurants, etc. But if you want to be in the country and don't mind a dirt road, that is what this is. Our little neighborhood is the kind in which you might see full-time RVers, shirtless guys riding off road vehicles, and fishing boats. 10 minutes from Plant Votgle. It is just 1/4 mile from the Savannah River with a community boat ramp and 350 feet from Yucci WMA. 10 minutes from Yucci shooting range. 1 hour South of the Augusta Masters. Yuchi Wildlife Management Area is a 7,800-acre property located in Burke County. This property offers hunting opportunities for deer, turkey and small game. Feel free to bring your boat and off road vehicles. Enjoy camping with well water, electric (50amp, 30amp, 20amp), and sewage hook-ups. Very friendly dogs allowed, possibly in our fenced-in acre, if you give us a head's up about it because we have our own dog.

House Rules
We just ask that you be respectful of our neighbors. Most work long hours at Plant Vogtle and need their sleep. We want to do this to help others and would not be able to continue if we felt that we were bothering anyone. Dogs must be friendly to children and dogs. There is no trash service here. Local dumpsters along the roads. Water and the site itself is free, electric and sewage is $15/night. If using utilities and not a generator, we may be able to extend your stay beyond the one night. No generators after 10pm. No generators at all from Feb 19th-April 12th.
Location
The access road is dirt and not the best, especially if there's been a lot of rain. We have a small camper and many neighbors have 5th wheels. I think our spot would be fine for up to 35 ft, if you are good at maneuvering it between trees. You can park your vehicles however you see fit, in the RV lot which is outside of the privacy fence.

We are originally from SW Ohio and NE GA mtns. We have a 3.5 yr old boy and a very friendly 8 yr old Golden Retriever. We are just starting out with Boondockers Welcome. We will ease into it as hosts to see what it is like and also wish to explore nearby areas before we sell our home and relocate. We are most grateful and welcome you to our spot in exchange! We aim to cause no trouble and leave no trace. We don't come with any expectations on quality time with hosts. Love meeting new people and learning from you but also totally self-sufficient and realize there are times when life gets busy. Hope to meet you soon!
