Finicky Farm Welcome to our historic 1920 farmhouse in Fincastle, Virginia. We are situated on 2.5 acres surrounded by rolling hills and cattle farms. You may experience some of our beautiful sunrises and/or visits from gentle cattle at our fence line or our favorite neighbor Sammy - a lovely white donkey. We also keep chickens and bees on our little homestead. We are conveniently located about 2.5 miles off of Interstate 81 in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. We offer parking and hook up near our garage and workshop. Plenty of hiking nearby and just a 20 minute ride away from Roanoke and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Fincastle is a quaint, historic town with a few restaurant options, including a coffee shop.

House Rules
Water usage is for needs during the stay only - please do not keep water pump engaged when not in use or fill tanks for future use. Dogs must be on leashes and waste disposed of. We would appreciate quiet hours 9pm and later.

We have a large circular drive with RV parking and room to park a tow vehicle. Gravel driveway and parking area. All flat, no inclines. RV parking area is situated between garage and workshop.

Hello travelers! I am recently retired and new to Virginia via Vermont. My husband and I love the warmer climate and the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The hiking trails and scenic back roads seem endless here. We enjoy getting out for a hike or a motorcycle ride on the weekends as a way to explore our new home state. My husband and I also love caring for our little 2.5 acre farm with our bees, chickens and gardens. Once my husband retires we look forward to joining the RV lifestyle and seeing our country in a new way.

I feel so fortunate to have discovered this paradise. The hosts were very welcoming and the site was perfect. Visiting with the hosts and their new fur friend was fun. I would highly recommend a visit to Finicky Farm.

THE drive off I 81 was up and down and around, no problem and G.P.S. took me right there. Beautiful place and a great hostess. I had 30 amp.service, it got down to 27 that night, cold, so used a small electric heater some. A very good stay. Sincerely, Anita

Fincky Farm is a lovely place to stay, and the hosts could not have been kinder. We appreciated both the friendliness of the hosts and the privacy of the location. Our dogs were warmly welcomed, and their sweet pup is friendly and gentle. Great stay. Thank you!
