We are just a few blocks off Hwy #3 which is a major route for travellers to and from the US states south of us including Montana, Idaho, Utah, Nevada, Arizona and California. Our city of 100,00 has lots of services and amenities so is a great place to stop. We are close to a Visitor Centre that has a free sanitation station. There is a large park, with a walking path around a man made lake, children's playground and public swimming pool within a block of our house. Our parking area is usually accessible even in winter so if you are a snowbird you are welcome to stop on your way to warmer weather. Suggested Local Attractions:Lethbridge boasts a large train bridge that is famous for its engineering, a Japanese Gardens, Museum and Art Gallery as well as numerous parks, cycling and walking paths. Our river bottom has many trails and a Nature Centre as well as Fort Whoop Up which brings the history of this area to life. Popular touurist spots around us include Waterton National Park, Frank Slide, Head Smashed In Buffalo Jump and many more. We have been to most attractions in our area so can offer suggestions and information as needed.

House Rules
Pets should be on a leash for their safety because of proximity to the street. There is an accessible garbage bin for bagged waste. Smoking is allowed on the parking pad. Quiet time is 10 pm to 7 am and outside speakers should not be used anytime. The electrical outlet is only 15 amps so will not safely run an air conditioner or a water heater. Microwaves can be iffy depending on how powerful they are and if another appliance is being used at the same time. Water is available April to September only.
Location
Access Road Conditions: Our address is 2715 6 Av S Lethbridge. Ph # is 403-381-0251(text or call). Our spot is a large gravel parking pad approx 30' wide x 26' deep. It is between our garage and the street but open to the alley so easy to access. If your RV is larger it would need to park on an angle but otherwise if your RV is short enough to back in straight you can park your tow vehicle beside it. Our RV is parked on it's own pad but is in the picture to show where you would park. If you are with a fellow traveler and both your units are smaller we could accommodate both of you. You will be the only one using that parking area. Our street is usually very quiet at night. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: If your RV takes the whole spot there is lots of street parking.

We are both retired and when travelling prefer boondocking to regular campgrounds. Being able to park somewhere safely when travelling is a huge issue for us so we are happy to offer this service to other travelers. For those wanting to spend time in our city or just passing through, we are happy to have you. Home Town: Lethbridge, Alberta Favorite Boondocking Locations: BLM land in California and Arizona

I would like to say a big thank you to Bill and Theresa for letting me stay while my wife was in Lethbridge hospital having a hip replacement. My drive was only 5 mins to the hospital when was so convenient.

We were thrilled with Lethbridge Layover. The site is spot on for closeness to amenities, an absolutely gorgeous public park and convenient location to the main routes. The site is level and framed with a lovely fence and an absolutely gorgeous garden. The property truly is parklike and offers a comfortable and safe place to stay. We hated to leave! Thank you so much, Theresa, for taking the time to make sure we were comfortable, offering great suggestions and also for giving us the map which was so valuable to us while touring. We highly recommend Lethbridge Layover.

We were in Lethbridge to visit friends for dinner and who did not have a place for our motor home. The Lethbridge Layover was the perfect stopping place with an easily accessed driveway in a quiet neighbourhood. The hosts were very friendly and made us feel very welcome.

Great spot to stop as a resupply was needed after depleting our food supply in preparation for the border crossing.
