"Laissez les bon temps rouler" Details: I travel in my work and travel in my personal life, so I never know where I may wake up. Born and raised in Louisiana but have traveled all over the US. The best part are the people I have met along the way. When I am not working I am still exploring and seeing new things. Some how I always find the time to get back to Cajun country, the place I call "home". Home Town: Westlake, Louisiana Favorite Boondocking Locations: Ahh but that's a secret..... This spot is a wonderful place to stay and have access to Estes Park and RMNP. The host was communicative and helpful. It can be a bit tricky to access the property from Estes Park if you’re pulling a big rig due to a couple of steep and tight switchbacks. I recommend coming in from Drake to avoid this.

We enjoyed our stay at "Lil Gem" and our host was very pleasant. She sent instructions regarding the best route for getting to the site. We enjoyed camping next to the stream and relaxing next to it during the evening. The scenery was pretty and the drive to the site was pretty, as well. We highly recommend this jewel to anyone who enjoys nature.

We had the best stay at “Lil Gem!” We loved being so close to RMNP and Estes Park but felt like we almost had our own Airbnb at which to stay. We are so thankful not to have had to worry about finding a place to park overnight in Estes Park, and we loved falling asleep each night to the sound of the river.

We had an uneventful stay at Lil Gem. From Estes Park, there are 2 BIG back to back switch backs . . . We are only 25 feet so had no problem but a longer rig or with a tow, maybe not. Easy parking and the roadway was not busy so we weren’t interrupted by traffic. The only negative was there was no cell coverage for miles and no WiFi.

Had a great time. Beautiful night watching the snow fall sands still being able to see stars through the clouds. Love falling asleep to the sounds of the River.
