Boat cruisers living on the hard Details: After living and traveling on our boat for over 7 years, we have settled in a small town on a little over an acre of land. We are seriously thinking about RVing as the next stage of our lives!. We enjoy meeting new people and sharing stories. Home Town: Opp, Alabama is a small town approximately 50 miles west of Dothan, Alabama and an hour and half north of the Gulf of Mexico and the beach. Jackson State Park is located here and has a fishing lake with boat ramps as well as several walking trails. We have 2 small grocery stores in Opp and there is a Walmart super center in Andalusia, AL, 13 minutes from here. Skills or Expertise to Share: We know must of the systems in an RV and have a large shop with tools etc. if any work needs to be done. The shop also has a car lift if you have a car that needs repairs.

Thank you so much for a great stay. Such great Southern hospitality. We were able to pull right in and park. We were greeted by Anne, Lou and their doggos. Our dogs took a bit to get to know theirs but then enjoyed playing in the fenced yard with them. We spent a nice afternoon visiting with them on the sun porch. They offered us bottled water, soda and coffee. They came to give us a hug goodbye the next morning. We will definitely stop by again next time we are in the area.

Lincoln Land was a super stop over spot. Very quiet not too far off the highway. Hosts are extremely friendly and accommodating. Our dogs got along with their dogs and really enjoyed the fenced in backyard.

We decided to stay here to cut our route down to New Orleans. We are so glad we did. our host are wonderful people. We enjoyed dinner with them for two nights. We did a nice walk around the park with her. wonderful conversation and even did a little work on our RV. We will be back. do yourself a favor and stay with these warm welcoming folks.

Lou and Ann, along with their canine friends Lincoln and Susie, welcomed us enthusiastically. We stayed for two nights, and each evening we gathered in their “RVers’ Louge” and swapped stories of their 7 years on a boat and our 7 months so far in a campervan. We hit it off so well that is was hard to say goodbye. It was not farewell, though — we will definitely try to return next chance we get. Thanks again, Lou and Ann!
