Age:

65+

We are brother and sister - both retired. Details: The road we live on is called Lover's Lane. I am a retired civilian OPP radio dispatcher and my brother Jeff is a retired cheese maker of 30+years. We are both single and now live together in a cute little bungalow on a half acre of forested property amongst hundreds of acres of cash crop farmland with no close neighbours. We both love to watch TV, eat and play euchre with our friends. Pretty laid back for sure. Jeff is the main cook. Our energetic Border Collie Jessy keeps us hopping. She loves to run beside our golf cart (year round) up and down the many miles of abandoned rail road tracks near us. We are located on the west outskirts of Mount Forest and enjoy the country life with the conveniences of town. This is a small hobby farm with field-run laying hens who are out all year round. We have solar panels and make our own power with back-up from the grid. We have a drilled well on our property that is free from the town's chlorine but is somewhat heavy with iron. There is a small forest at the back of our property where our guests can feel free to take their pet, walk or sit and relax at the picnic table. We respect quiet and privacy and will do the same with any visitors who stay over with us. Home Town: Home town, decades ago, was Monkton, Ontario. Now located in Arthur Township, just west of Mount Forest, Ontario. Favorite Boondocking Locations: We had our first Boondocking adventure in Hudson, Florida for a week in February 2020. It was great! Excellent hosts. Our second was in Goderich, Ontario at Lazy Acre with great hosts Todd and Gina. For now we are just hosting other Boondockers until we plan our next adventure. Skills or Expertise to Share: We can both build things like buildings and decks but have slowed down over the years as we are both in our 60's. Jeff likes to go fishing in the creeks and I tinker around with my dog, chickens and pond fish (gold fish) We both like to play euchre.....and watch tv (we have satellite and Netflix)

we very much appreciated the opportunity to visit Mount Forest and find such a lovely property with hosts who were willing to share their property. As newbies to this mode of travel, we learn as we go. We will start looking for leveling blocks for sloped terrain and a longer 15 amp extension cord.. A short stay but very grateful for the kindness.

Linda & Jeff are super friendly and greeted me warmly with big smiles. They were so accommodating helping me back into their 'host space', getting me and my 3 pups settled in. The first few hours were spent chatting, getting to know each other and allowing their pup Jessie meet mine, showing me around. Turns out we have so much in common!! Jeff showed me where I can walk my pups off-lead to enjoy a nice run. I woke up with the sunrise and the nights were so peaceful. I look forward to coming back and seeing them again!! Thank you Jeff & Linda for a lovely stay!!

Spent the night a few weeks ago; sorry for the delay. I was warmly greeted by Linda, who assisted me in backing in. Jeff appeared, and we all spent a time getting to know one another comfortably seated on the front porch. Linda gave me a tour around the yard and told me about how the house was moved to this lovely spot. Spent a quiet night and had a great sleep. Thank you both for your generous hospitality.

We enjoyed our stay at Lovers Lane Getaway. The site was surrounded by big beautiful trees and we had a very peaceful sleep. Our hostess showed us their property in the morning, and took the time to chat with us for a few minutes. Thank you, Jeff and Linda. Jim & Karen Neilson

Our hosts Linda and Jeff (and Jesse the dog) were very welcoming. Jeff helped us back in and the spot for our camper was perfect. It was a great place to stay and explore Mount Forrest and vicinity. Thank you for the terrific hospitality!
