This is a 5 acre property. The owner residence is a barndominium. Sites are at different angles to eachother, and with trees and outbuildings, are somewhat private. There is an outdoor shower available to guests, as well as a porta potty (after September 1st) Expect to be aware of, but not encroached by, the presence of the host and other campers. There is a communal firepit available provided there is no burn ban in effect. Extra hose and extension cords are a plus to access hookups, and prior arrangement is greatly appreciated! Suggested Local Attractions:Round top offers world class classical music at the Round Top Festival Institute (https://festivalhill.org/), historical sites such as Winedale (https://friendsofwinedale.org/), antique and boutique shopping, restaurants, and music venues. Check out the Round Top Chamber of Commerce ( https://www.exploreroundtop.com/) for events. We are also about 20 minutes from Brenham and all it has to offer (https://www.brenhamtexas.com/).

Wandering Innkeeper Details: I am a former teacher and current owner/operator of The Cottages on Mill Creek, a B&B just down the road from the boondocking property. I work hard when I'm home, but love to jump in my Casita and hit the road for a few days to a few weeks. I'm looking building a network of folks across the country to make those travels easier and more affordable! Home Town: I live in Round Top, Texas Favorite Boondocking Locations: Still discovering that, but LOVED Clayton Lake State Park and Dinosaur Trackways sites overlooking the lake on a cliff! Skills or Expertise to Share: I take pride in being a competent solo traveler for the last several years. I love to cook, especially breakfast, and have hosted B&B and camping guests for the last 4 years. Happy to share my thoughts and experience!

peaceful and quiet. Sue was very gracious in making us feel right at home. plenty of room to maneuver and set up. she has a wonderful set up. but, when you pull in her drive, continue down the drive to a mound, sharp left and then a right. you will then see her barndominium and property. it's very inviting.

Beautiful quiet spot. Enjoyed the conversation with the host. Ask about the "Hipcamp" breakfast!

Sue was away during my overnight stay, but everything was just as promised. Enjoyed a quiet evening and two friendly kitties. Very nice!

This was a perfect spot to try out our new RV for the night. Sue was a perfect host and made sure we have everything we needed. We will hopefully get a chance to stay here again.
